I wish I could afford regular trips to the salon - my hair gets looked at maybe once a year if I'm lucky and rich enough. Closely followed by the hairdresser tutting at the state of it all and telling me off for not going every 8 weeks. At £40 for a trim? Yeah...that'd be why.

CT: I entered Storyofmylife.com and wondered why it didn't take me here. Man, I am tired. I also just noticed I've been eating nothing but chicken for the past week (chik-fil-a, chicken Vietnamese dish, churches chicken, chicken wings, chicken teriyaki, chicken sautee.) Wow. LOL I love chicken!

Same here pretty much. I hardly ever go to a salon...usually if I need a trim, I just cut it myself. It's gonna cost me both arms and both legs but I reeeaalllyyy want my hair done a certain color. I might be saving up for....eternity :O

Go to your local aveda salon and ask for a "dry cut". What would normally cost me $80 bucks only costs me $30 when dry... Then go back some other time if you want color. It will save you a lot, and you'll get a good quality haircut!

I did this for a bridal shoot once, but it was with a master stylist. Sometimes if they're really looking for models this works too (A lot of the time they just want you to model your hair, so if you have a good head of hair it works. Hair shows are the best place to apply for, especially if you get to know the gang at the salon... The majority of my friends work at the salon I go to.). I've also had a trainee cut my hair before, and as long as they're being taught by a master stylist they'll be fine. Just make sure they're not being trained at super cuts, sports cuts or what have you.

I do this sometimes, it can take an hour but i get happy with the results. Plus they massage your head in hot water.
CT: I said i would never get a loan, ever. But interest free and its relatively small so safe till i have a new job.

CT: You bitch... My teacher is going to "check" and make sure my documents from clinicals haven't been put in the shredder because I took "so long" to finish... Um okay, I was taking care of my mother with a broken leg, I had no other choice. She puts my documents in the shredder and I will kill her (not literally)... Or you know, get her fired since she's broken a lot of rules with me in particular. (I'm on disability, she makes me go back to the SAME clinical site because she's too lazy to put me somewhere else, knowing she's putting me back in danger in a way. This was after I sent her two emails and two voicemails (documented) with me explaining why I wouldn't be going back for those extra 8 hours unless she can put me in a secure site.) Well she fails, and she's gonna pay.
I also have her voicemail documented where she told me I passed the course already. She's gonna have to really eat her words now if she does this. This isn't even legal either, she's gonna be in lots of trouble. She thinks I'm just another passive student, well I'm not and I know a lot about the system.

CT: It's not that I dislike your boyfriend, I like your boyfriend... it's just that he absolutely has NO table manners. He ate watermelon right over the plate of communal watermelon and then offered me the watermelon he JUST ate over. Gross.
