What are you thinking? (Part 2)

Well that depends on the content of the book i am buying. If the content of the book interests me then i will buy it. It doesn't really matter if the cover of the book is Purple or Pink.

I'm glad you think the way you do, but looks are important too. You don't pick up and read the synopsis of every book you see in a store. You only care about those that look interesting. So what I'm actually wondering is if you would even pick up a book with a "girlish" colour.

I'd use a colour scheme that best represents the key themes.

The novel is about something purple, which is why I'm thinking about making the cover purple too, but, yeah... Is there any good literature on colour psychology that you would recommend? (I've read several guides detailing the dos and don'ts when it comes to designing your own book cover, and most of the don'ts are things that no sane person would ever do anyway, but all they said about colours is that they shouldn't be too aggressive.)

Well most books have a concise summary of its content on the back cover. But if i am going for looks i think a Purple coloured book will catch my attention and i will buy it.

CT: I'm planning on releasing my novel with a purple cover. The colour is not supposed to indicate the gender of the target audience, the novel is meant for everyone, but I realise purple is more commonly associated with girls. Now a question for all the guys here: Would you actually buy a purple book?
Uh, when I was younger I bought a book about smex and it was pink. The author is Tracey Cox, a famous sexpert. I read half of it before I found out smex is boring and quit, but it was not because the book is pink.

Sure I would buy your purple book, if it is about something interesting, like valves in a diesel engine. I might buy it just because I know the author too. ;)

you know when it's not raining, suddenly " BOOOOOOOM " lightning strikes and rain starts pouring down, and your only reaction is "oh, rain".

Well, Mikey is the same guy that said gays shouldn't even adopt a few years back. Shows where his priorities lie.
That's pretty standard rhetoric from the GOP, so I don't find that as shocking. But 'the purpose of the military is to kill people and break things' coming from the same person who tries to throw the bible in everyone's face... can you be more profoundly hypocritical?

Supremely hypocritical, yes. But I'm not even surprised that someone like him literally thinks that. As soon as I started paying attention to American politicians it was pretty clear hardcore Bible Thumping Conservatives loooove war on foreign soil.

So we're back in the ICU with the ventilator again. Keep those prayers coming, guys. We need em now more than ever!

How are things with your mom today?

Thinking that I hate autism and what it does to my son. He's sitting there in tears and cannot communicate why to me.

Hate it, hate it, hate it.

I don't have any way of understanding what you're going through but I am so sorry you and your son have to deal with that. I know it doesn't make things any easier..

Hugs for both Maggie and Angel <3

A few months ago in another forum. Someone used unpleasant photos as his Avatar and Sig. Which caused a total Image blockage for a few weeks. And now THAT M*****F***** is at it again.
