Time is passing so quickly. I've been in my new job for eleven weeks now.

At least this means the time will pass just as fast to my holidays - or at least I hope it will. And then it needs to slow down while I'm away from work.

What office would that be? Local mayor somehwere, prime minister, parish council...?
You guys should revolt and get your own monarch. I want to see you as queen.
Yeah I mean, that would have been ideal (though Supreme Dictator is good too) but I'm pretty humble so I was just going to start with city councillor. :D

That's hilarious.
Let's see, who do we have from Australia here? I remember @Hoady and @Dos were aussies, and sadly they have been missing for years.

Nutcases quoted in article said:
"I am sure you have even talked to people on the internet who claim to be from Australia. They are really secret government agents who are surfing the internet to enforce these false beliefs."
Maybe the governments stopped paying Hoady and Dos, or maybe they are now working on other gaming forums?

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the "What are you listening to?" thread, but my boss at work introduced me to the iHeartRadio app. I just started messing around with it today. Liking it so far. The ability to share custom playlists and stations is pretty damn awesome. Not sure if I'll roll with a monthly subscription over the free Spotify app, though, we'll see how it goes.

I just spent the last few hours making my own custom playlist for work (I work 3rd shift).

So New York City is an expensive place to live, but an actress paid only $28 in rent until she died a few months back. Amazing story.

This story, and the video makes be both sad and happy at the same time.

It looks like it need a redecoration, but who can complain when it's "free".
(A local news site reposted the story and put the video on their Youtube channel, it's the same video as that in the CNN article.)

But.... $ 7000 a month to rent a normal apartment in NYC?? What is the monthly salary for normal people there?

I know minimum wage is slightly higher here than where I live but even then I was reading $11 to $12 is the minimum wage which is disgusting considering how expensive everything is in New York. I’ll never complain about Orlando prices (or traffic) again!

I just did a tour today and our guide was discussing similar prices. I believe he said he was paying something like $3000 a month for an apartment where he could literally touch both walls with his arms stretched out.

That is crazy. What makes people willing to pay that much to live in a shoebox, when they can get much more value for their money somewhere else? It must be very high paying jobs they've got.

Certain people love it out there I guess. I know our tour guide was talking about how he moved out there for acting about 10 years ago. Though he hasn’t exactly made it big and does the tours on the side. He was talking about how he moves to cheaper parts of NY and then those places start to get popular which forces him to move around more only to have the same thing happen.

There’s a lot of hype for New York but I definitely don’t feel the hype after having spent the weekend there. I was staying right near Time Square though and that whole part of NY is so chaotic and dirty that it wasn’t impressive. But we did venture a bit further out to where the Twin Towers used to be and it was more enjoyable.

New York is somewhere I've never wanted to go but, to be fair, I'm a small town girl and I'd have no idea what to do in the big city. I'll probably end up going there one day simply because Jonathan has always wanted to visit but I'm more into smaller places.

CT: Why is it that vacation is always so short but the regular work week is so long?

CT: Just chilling here, watching the Big Bang episode where Amy learns that Sheldon wants to get physical with her... and then THIS TRAILER happens:

We're finally getting weather and seasons in The Sims 4! Who's happier now, Amy or me?

CT1: My mind has been abuzz with thoughts about The Last of Us Part II lately and I've been theorising like crazy. I'm so looking forward to E3 when I can see more.

CT2: Looking up interesting/fun/easy things to bake. I want to expand my repertoire from cakes and biscuits. Any ideas?

Ah yes. A woman taking an interest in the kitchen, fantastic. Maybe start with some sandwiches and you'll have some good ideas later.

Seeing all these SJW crybullies celebrating TotalBiscuit's tragic death absolutely drove my blood pressure through the f*cking roof. The guy just died of cancer and here these "tolerant" pieces of sh!t are dancing on his grave for the oh so terrible crime of disagreeing with them! I literally saw a series of Tweets comparing his death to Hitler FFS.

Leave it to psychotic SJWs to compare a man who murdered millions and millions of people to a guy who made jokes on the internet. Then again, I'd expect no less from the same pieces of sh!t who tried to get a girl to kill herself over f*cking drawings (that she apologized for, anyway, even though she did absolutely nothing wrong).

Speaking of which, another ex-BioWare developer (David Crooks) was also caught rejoicing in his death:

Low and behold: he deleted his Twitter account, probably because the good-natured internet folk gave him all the sh!t-flinging he f*cking deserves for Tweeting those absolutely disgusting comments about TB. The person who Tweeted the above Tweet also deleted her account, probably also due to all the backlash that surely followed. As Crooks himself said, good riddance to bad rubbish.
