Leon in RE2 is very different than the RE4 version. In RE2, he seems more human, more reel, and less emo and girly. Another thing, RE4 Leon had no emotions. It was always boring monotone with him. He doesn't even look much like the original Leon. I must know your appinions, which leon is better?

I liked the RE4 Leon better, he looked better in that one. :)

Resident Evil 4 Leon is way madder, his roundhouse kicks have like a 30 meter radius and can take down 10 people at once lol.

^But I really don't see him as cold or emotionless in RE4. To me that's more like Degeneration Leon.

^That would make no sense if Leon was a government agent with no experiance. As the years go by the characters are going to change. Honestly though, imagine Leon in RE4 with the same exact RE2 personality. Naive and has no idea what to do, how would that look? They had to go into the future eventually. And personally, I think RE4 Leon is pretty much RE2 Leon simply smarter with more skills, which makes sense. QUOTE=013;49706]^

You're not listening. I didn't say RE4 should stay just like it is in the same time zone and same story with only leon changing. They sould have made it take place far earlier than six years later. The story sucked. They should have had the REAL (original) Leon with a story that take place a month or 2 after after the incident. Him becoming a government agent makes no sense. He said at the end of RE2 that he was going to take down umbrella. So why didn't he? instead, he became the president's personal bodygaurd. How would that help? It's just stupid. They don't even go into any detail what so ever about the orginization he works for. Like I said, stupid.

I like him in both. In re2 he was more emotional becuz this came out of no where and he was better then average cop but very inexperienced. But the time re 4 come around he has tons of training and been a tons of missions dealing with this stuff. Plus He has to keep it together in front of Ashley to keep her from not only worrying but keeping her sane and hopefully. Cuz let's face it,if the guy that was suppose to save u started to freak out u pretty much would want to kill yourself to get it over with.Emo?! He had that hair in re2 lol

'Resident Evil 2' Leon all the way.
I think he suited the police-officer character alot more & he came across as soldier-like and fearless, making you feel very cool playing as him! In 'Resident Evil 4' I didn't really get much of a character from him and like others have said, found him to be a bit emotional & weak.

I think it is safe to say I like the character of Leon, period. Sure he has had an attitude adjustment and gotten better moves, but he is still the same in 4 as he was in 2. However, he is more guarded with his emotions. He also appreciates the knowledge that the mission is all that matters. Hmmmm, now who does that remind me of?

Re4 Leon seems like a natural evolution of the man we knew from Re2 with those many years of skill refinement and training. He's more focused and less emotionally invested into what's going on, but still human. I'd like to really dig into Darkside and see what dynamic that adds to his character.

Degeneration admittedly did feel off, but mainly during any moment Angela was on screen.

I do like Leon from RE2, only in the remakes then :) I also like him in RE4, and I really can't see anything emolike nor robotlike to him out there. And btw, he's a SECRET special agent. Showing emotions or something like that would look like weakness. And it also will give away some information (or something like that). And he also has to look like that besides Ashley. I mean, when an agent recues you, and when you see him get scared by villagers, you probally would think like: ''What kind of an agent is he?!''

Like Levan said, Leon in RED is kinda well... a whole new character, only with the same name, background and well... The look at RED pretty sucks >.>

I like the both of them alot really, Leon in 2 was a new guy, unsure of his skill and stuff and progressed into a badass from the events of that game, 4 being my first I always liked his character though.

I agree with you, i think they are both awesome in different ways. You can tell he got quite the confidence boost after surviving RE2 .... i would too after all of that(it would be one hell of a conversation piece)

Well, for RE2, the protagonist must be Leon (hehe, because it's original).
As for RE4, he could be any new face, they used Leon just to please Leon's fans IMO. The story is not as impressive either.

First leon is not girly :(

but i do agree he changed 180% in resident evil 4 , but i guess he looks much much better! As for my opinion about RE2 n RE4 , well..RE2 i like the levels , and RE4 is great! :D

I have to say both leons we re b a RE2 leon was b a because for the first day i personally think he handle himself quite well how do u think some of us would handle our selves u may say awwww man id be the best zombie killer in the world but thats what could get you killed now back on topic lol. RE4 leon was b a because he was nearly untouchable he was straight beast like all that was missing would be him saying rawr lol

New question...

If Leon were to be in RE6, which Leon would you want to see? RE2, RE4, RED, or REDC?

I would still have to go with RE2.

I'm a bit confused though; why would RE2 Leon be in RE6? RE2 Leon is a rookie-cop. RE6 Leon would most likely be at least a decade older than RE2 Leon; we have to keep in mind that people... in this case, characters change especially after extreme circumstances. Perhaps there are certain characteristics of his character you'd like to see return, but rookie Leon is long gone. :)

That's not a problem actually. The developes could as well say that he suffers from a mental disorder which causes him to act more immaturely than he is. However the same doesn't apply for his beauty and he becomes ugly. Thus girls will start liking real guys again and everyone will be happy. Peace.

Allow me to rephrase the question. If There is a new RE game, whether it be a remake, or an added side-chapter to the series, and it starred Leon, which Leon would you want to see and why?
