Well, if you want an interesting Sci-Fi horror movie, I watched something called Lily C.A.T. last night. It's basically if anime mixed Alien, The Thing, The Terminator, and Ghostbusters together in a 1 hour movie that works surprisingly well. If you dislike older animation, it may be a little rough. But it's higher quality older animation since it's a movie. If that's not up your alley, I have a few others XD

Well the good news is Lily is on Crunchy Roll. I haven't watched it yet but you were right about the animation style lol. I will try to find time to watch it. Or try to watch it.

Lol, yeah. I personally LOVE 80's and 90's animation, and tolerate modern animation at best. But that's not for everyone.

But there is a Reddit post that seems to be very detailed and aligns with a lot of what the cast and crew have discussed. I only skimmed through the first half of it but I found it through a YouTube video which summarized the main points.
Blasphemy! I love the sequel trilogy... well we shall see how the last movie plays out still. But not gonna lie, I’m slightly disappointed with certain things if they are true (which they seem very likely).

So far the Sequel Trilogy is batting 500 for me. Loved The Force Awakens and hated The Last Jedi. So we'll see with this final film where I fall on rating rating the trilogy as a whole.

I thought that The Last Jedi was a far better movie than The Force Awakens (which I also liked).
The Last Jedi gave me a lot of twists that I am sure no one expected. It was better than all of the prequel films as well except Revenge Of The Sith. But that is a low bar.

I actually disagree hard here. I think it's the second worst entry in the entire saga, ahead of only Attack of the Clones. I'll give you that it gave us a couple of twists. But they were not good twists. My issues with the film, which killed it for me, and in no particular order, are as follows:
1. It completely misses the tone of Star Wars. It's a War. The whole ending scene when that most forgettable character in the film saves Finn from sacrificing himself for the Resistance, then giving that awful dialogue about how "we'll beat them with love." People say George Lucas' writing is bad, but I"ll take his hammy dialogue over that line ANY day. Plus, it's a war. People die. His sacrifice would have been completely beneficial, and made an impact. And finally for that scene, Finn killing himself would have been awesome. So rarely in Star Wars do our main heroes die, that that would have been the twist. Noble self sacrifice of one of the actual COOL characters in the film, subverting expectations hard, would be way more amazing than the forced romance with the "dying girl who we know isn't gonna die because it's Star Wars."
2. The runtime. The runtime is atrocious. Nearly the entire second act is unnecessary, boring, devoid of any character development, not even visually appealing save for the first time we see the casino, and ultimately serves no purpose to the story we later find out. Now, that last part MAY change with the showing of the little boy on that planet at the end of the film that used the force to bring the broom closer. But even if they use that as a story point, that doesn't excuse how long the scene was. To take up almost 40 minutes of the movie is just...Bad.
3. Luke's death. Now no. I'm not some fanboy who's upset the OG characters are being whisked out. I'm a ok with Luke dying, and expected it. However, the way it happened was just...So lame. The fight scene was cool. But the idea that the most powerful force user of EVERYONE at the time, The chosen one, A supremely powerful Jedi, died because he made a hologram...that took too much energy? Yoda and the Emperor were FAR older and did FAR more force exerting tasks with the force. How he died was lazily written, and doesn't hold up to other Star Wars Jedi abilities.
4. Leia magically having force powers. It would ALMOST be acceptable if they were shown off in The Force Awakens. Several years have passed. She's been able to train. Hell, the original series acknowledged that she may very well be force sensitive. But, two show it in a sequel, when she's out in space and by all acounts should be dead, was a bad move. It's just narratively bad, because the reason characters getting new powers in fiction makes us so happy, is we feel the payoff, because we watch them struggle. Luke learning to life rocks, and then eventually become a Jedi who's choking guards in Jabba's palace, made it look like his training paid off. Or let's take a different example. My favorite anime Dragon Ball Z. Goku acheiving Super Saiyan is monumental and felt earned. In the Resurrection F movie, he just ShOWS UP with a new power up, and it's...underwhelming. We don't get the same payoff, because we don't see why it was earned. Leia in that movie was untilized VERY poorly in that regard.
I could keep going, but those are pretty much my key gripes off the top of my head.

The Last Jedi is the absolute worst entry in Star Wars and completely sh*ts on whatever The Force Awakens had going for it, therefore, making this entire sequel trilogy a giant mess and possibly even destroying the original and prequel films depending on how much The Rise of Skywalker damage controls, which is already bad news for The Rise of Skywalker since it has way too much to fix and do for just one film. Disney, Kathleen Kennedy, and Rian Johnson absolutely buttfucked this franchise.

I was pleasantly surprised with Solo... I mean it is obviously nowhere near as good as any of the main trilogies- or Rogue One for that matter- but it was entertaining.

But seriously, I think The Last Jedi handled Rey and Kylo really well. Love the idea of there being a bit of a complex love story going on between them. I love how they introduced the whole ForceTime as it was something that we've never seen before and it was done beautifully.
I also really like the death that was given to Luke... sure he didn't go out in a blaze of glory but that's honestly why I liked it so much. It was as peaceful a death could be for a Jedi and I'm happy Luke found that peace after everything. Luke using everything that he had to literally imprint himself onto another planet makes sense as to why the effort killed him.
I will say I really hated how Rose and the Canto Bight scenes were written. In fact, I think they should have worked out another way to team up Finn and Poe again and they also severely misused Maz… its just one of those movies, for me, where what it did right, I loved and what it did wrong bored me to tears and definitely made me cringe from time to time. I still consider it to be a better movie than any of the prequels, especially in terms of story and characters.
Now, was TLJ completely different from what JJ was going for? It's very possible. But JJ also gave Johnson complete freedom to do what he wanted with the second movie and I'm sure they discussed many things in great length before writing and filming even began.
Because TLJ took us in an unexpected direction, I'm even more excited to see how Rise of Skywalker brings it all together. This wouldn't be the first time that writers/directors had to completely make things up as they went along within the Star Wars saga... A lot of things that I have heard actually sound cool and will hopefully translate well for the movie.

I will completely agree with this. The way they're writing Rey and Kylo Ren is awesome. The dynamic between the two is EASILY the most engaging thing in the new trilogy. The two actors have great chemistry, being able to make that love/hate relationship they have seem not only effortless, but genuine. No matter how much I hate TLJ, I'll give it credit where it's due, and anytime these two had screen time together, I was god damn captivated.
As for Solo, if I didn't know the original story on how Chewie met Han, I'd agree. But they made their meetup and life debt scenario so weak when compared to the books, that I just can't find it in myself to like it. Plus...Making the Falcon basically it's own sentient being...Awful idea. Donald Glover as Lando on the other hand? F*cking A-1 casting. Without a DOUBT the best part of the film.

I can't quite argue with a lot of the arguments presented here.
But here are the things that I love about the film that counterbalance the negative items:
1. The Kylo Betrayal - Leading up to The Last Jedi, everyone was obsessed with figuring out who Snoke was. And I wouldn't be surprised if he still was alive. But the way Kylo betrays him with the slow force moving of the lightsaber. It was unexpected to say the least. Then, we have the ultimate Rey/Kylo battle against the rest of Snoke's guard. However, Kyle doesn't just give in and become a good guy --- he killed Snoke and becomes more entrenched in his crazy views. This is one of the best character developments in the entire series.
2. Po and Finn FAIL - I don't have a ton to say about this - but to lead us on this crazy infiltration mission only to have it fail and literally blow up in their faces was such an amazing moment. This is the crux of the greatness of the film. The film gives us expectations for how a Star Wars movie SHOULD be... then it destroys those expectations to create a deeper story. I mean, you can say you saw it coming - but why would you?
3. Rose and Finn see the outside world - The story gives us characters that develop the entire world and scope of the franchise. When they are in Canto Bight - they give us a unique look in to unique cultures and class systems we have hardly seen. We get a similar scope when we see Young Anakin, etc. But we really get a look in to a new world and it gives us more consequences than just losing characters we've been developing for the past 40-50 years.
And I thought that the Luke death was fine. It brought back notions of the death of Obi Wan. And it showed Luke finally atoning for his sins of the past years. The movie could have been better, but I thought it really destroyed expectations we have been building up.

I love dissecting Kylo’s emotions and intentions. It’s pure fun to read into the character for me as I don’t see him as a villain at all and, like @KennedyKiller, I think Rey and Kylo’s storylines are the most engaging.
He is a very conflicted character. When he saw his own uncle, a strong force user for the light side, try to take his life, he felt betrayed by not only family but the light side entirely. Fast forward to Kylo working with Snoke, and you can clearly see his uncertainties with Snoke’s intentions too. So I get where he is coming from when he says to forget the Jedi and the Siths, etc. and asks for Rey to stand by him and they start anew... but it was too much to ask for her to just forget the friends that Rey established. Anyways I thing there is going to be a redemption for Kylo. To what extend, I don’t know though.

I'm so mad at everyone. I got a text this morning from my brother telling me that he's sorry he didn't tell me my cousin committed suicide Tuesday night and he's currently at her funeral. Apparently nobody wanted to tell me. And people wonder why I have trust issues.
