I didn't mean to imply that you were gonna start an argument, I was more worried I'd start one, haha.
I agree that the Jokers look in Suicide Squad isn't to everyone's taste. Personally, I thought it was a bold move, and it fits the vibe of the film. Chances are it's probably gonna be altered over the next few movies, anyway.
I understand where you're coming from regarding Arrow and Flash and the continuity. And yes, the costumes and effects wouldn't be able to match the movies. But I have to disagree with the idea that tying a show in to a film series continuity, or vice versa, limits either sides potential. Marvel's Netflix shows, whilst they're kinda on the periphery of the overall shared universe for the moment, feel like they occupy the same world. As does Agents of SHIELD. Neither of which feel limited (ok, except for the first season of AoS). As for the Defenders in Infinity War, I don't think that's happening. Which kinda makes sense when you consider that all of the Avengers will be involved, plus (probably) Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Spider-man (maybe), and Captain Marvel (if her film comes out before it). That, and the fact that Marvel decided to trim Infinity War down into a single film? I don't think there's gonna be any room for the Defenders.
And yes, BvS would have worked better as a 2 parter. That way, all the storylines would've gotten the attention they needed. Affleck knocked it outta the park, though. Murderous tendencies and the Bat-brand aside, the characterisation was pretty much spot-on, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred provided some much needed chuckles. He had that whole "I'm getting real sick of your s**t, Master Wayne" vibe to his performance.
