CT: Why the **** do some Americans get SO ****ed off that we can't return their change in American? THIS IS A CANADIAN HOTEL. We are on the CANADIAN side of the border. If you want change back in American, then take your business to American hotels. It's not that we want to keep your money because it's so precious to us as you suggested was the case, it's simply that we don't carry American cash other than our drops. It isn't as if any American businesses I've been to will return my change in Canadian and I don't expect them to, so stop being a moron and take yourself to the duty free if you want to exchange your coins. Jeez.
