I tend to get frustrated when in that situation, as i feel that i can't leave them to their own devices as i think they'll end up hurting themselves. When sober, i always make sure everyone makes it home safely... weird but true.
Oh, I won't allow severe injuries...But, if one dude want's to true to count the blades on his saw then I'm not gonna stop him...If one friend sees's a ghost and starts flippin' sh*t then I'm not gonna stop him lol...But if my buddy says he wants to see if he can fly and tries to jump of the roof, then I'll step in...

thats how i am bro. im like a walking pill book when it comes to chemicals cause ive spent so much time studying them (i wanted to be a pharmacist, it didnt work out). i hate when people just take something cause they "wanna get fuuuuucked up bro", but they dont even know what it is or does. i dont condone drug use as ive personally been up and down the road of addiction, but if youre gonna do it at least know what youre putting in your body. its like playing with fire and not knowing its gonna burn you: youll either learn the hard way not to do it, or youll die. and you cant return from the latter...

I think the older you get, you generally come to understand time on this earth is of great value, and that nothing in this universe is from a '' just so happens '' kinda event... and that you simply don't have time to sit around and **** faced. Although i fully appreciate that people need to learn these things for themselves, so should be allowed to enter and exit their phases as it suits.

yeah man i learned that fact the hard way. ive wasted literally years on the junk, and it gets you no where. and as you said, nothing just HAPPENS. it wasnt even untill recently that i finally excepted that all the bad **** in my life wasnt just happening, it had been building off my past mistakes for a long time. now that ive come to realize that and started to work on my problems, my life has been a lot better. its nice to not have to rely on a chemical just to get up out of bed lol.

Funny how people also use that exact same logic to decide that they should get twisted almost every day of their life.
Example: "I'm only going to be on this earth once so I owe it to myself to expose my body to every chemical I can."

I'm sure you've heard people say it before, yea? Can't really call them immature when they're choosing to do it for the exact same reasons that you're choosing not to.

If there's anything to conclude, it's just that while that logic may be your reasoning for doing what you do, it's still perfectly sound for doing the opposite. In other words, it's nothing other than a personal choice through-and-through.

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, I'm not a hard-core pill popper any more.
I'm just obsessed with Hume's Law/the Is-Ought problem.

Did i call them immature ?

I haven't read Hume's works for an age, but if i remember rightly he was usually a good read.

You live and learn, i believe every human has the power within themselves to turn what can be seen as negative forces into positive ones. We're in the unique position of being able to manipulate our natural environment and inner environment for the betterment of ourselves and anything we put our minds to.

Although the first few steps are always killers.

Good work :)

Is how we're hanging in the Smoking thread today/tonight...

I couldn't secure any top notch bands to play in here tonight, so i've had to go for some old 100 chill out tracks.....yeah i know, sounds like the backing music to some 70's porn flick.... but you know.... sometimes you just gotta let the cheese mature you know..... let it do it's thing...

Dunno why but the first track makes me think its a scene from Bullitt.

Anyone wanna comment on this video? The guy at one point talks about the link of lung cancer and smoking but doesn't believe smoking itself directly causes lung cancer. Its a combination of contributing factors. A study done in Yogoslavia(he mentions, wish i could find it) showed that people who are under stress and smoke have a very high chance of cancer, but those who are very well emotionally and mentally balance, won't get it. The reason being is that yes, the cigarette does destroy your lungs, but when the immune system is affected by stress, it can't tackle the damage done. He obviously doesn't endorse smoking, hes just making an example on the relation of stress and addiction.
At 7:48

I don't want to try and justify mine or anothers smoking addiction/habit. If i found it easy, i would quit the damn things. But to me, i totally agree on what he is saying.

It's all crap though, it's not smoking that kills, it's all the **** they put into cigarettes to make them addictive, I smoke knowing the risk, but I do not blame smoking for any illness i may or may not get, but the greed of the tobacco companies trying to grab as much profit as they can, and the government that taxes smoking, that castigates smokers but must know, for fact, that the tobacco industry is making cigs as cheaply as they can.

(Smoking weed's better LOL)

i have jacked my job.... i simply don't have time for that micky mouse bull****...

Never smoked - never even been tempted to. Probably just as well, being around thick cigarette smoke makes me very ill very quickly.

^ rescued this little fella from his killer parents... his brothers and sisters died in the attack. He's doing ok though.
After a long hard day out in the sun i'm now chilling on my fave forum in my fave thread and I'm about to spark up a Winterman... Despite the cracking sunshine we've had, and temperatures rising higher than that of spain, and some tropical islands.... in the the evening, i can already feel the tell tale sign of Autumn sneaking up on us.
So for now, me and the little fella are going to enjoy a smoke and some tunes.
