When I made that post I had only played to chapter 4-1 I think. I play a couple (or a few) chapters and put away the game for some months while I play other games, or no games at all.

But I almost had to change underwear when the first regenerator found me. Up until that point it had been alot of excitement and little fear. Funny enough, one of the most scary places in the game was for me the very beginning right after you get out of the car, just the atmosphere alone gave me some chills. The same can be said about large parts of the Village region. But none of these places really scared me, the first regenerator got that pleasure. :) That was just before last Christmas and I didn't take the PS2 with me on the vacation so I've not continued past the first regenerators.

Yes, the beginning is one of my favorites in the entire series. The atmosphere, the making everything go the hell within a few minutes, it was really great. And certain enemies later on, not to mention the chainsaw guy(which they didn't overuse I might add, they used him pretty sparingly).

Regenerators were cool too. I remember shooting one's legs off and it lunged at me...

I really don't like RE3 too much. I don't know. It just felt depressing overall. It was good, but...depressing.

I don't see how people get scared from Resident Evil 4. Nothing scary about it. At least in the old RE games **** would pop out at you through windows or something. I was playing RE 2 earlier, Leon B game and these zombies popped out of some random windows and I completely forgot it would happen. I was like !!!!!!!!! But back on the main topic, HOW CAN YOU HATE RE 3? GET OUT OF MY SERIES!

It was later stated that he didn't hate it but that it was his "least favorite RE game".

But it's possible for someone to hate it just like other fans hate RE 4 and 5.

I don't see how someone could hate 3... I remember when it first came out and I **** my pants and made my mom buy it for me THAT DAY. I played it, had an awesome assault rifle, saw Brad get his ass owned by a man who would freak me out for the rest of the game by stalking me, get to visit the R.P.D.!, seeing random people in the streets get eaten... I mean come on, the atmosphere is so amazing... This game is unhatable. It's a worthy sequel to 1 and 2. jewiofjwpoejfop!#$$@#

Hey, calm down - everyone has personal preferences and I guess some people just don't like Resident Evil 3.

Though I, personally, can't see how - that game was amazing; one of my favorites if only for the reason that is shows Jill Valentine PWNS all. ;)

Wow...um many people hate Resident Evil 4 and 5...me being one of them. I guess I can't really weigh in much of an opinion on 5 since I've never played it and most of my knowledge comes from watching game-play, cut-scenes and reading up on the game in general...I'm just not fond of the idea but Resident Evil 4...? Let's just say it doesn't really 'melt my butter'.

Also, there's no reason for all caps or cursing; some of our members are very young so please respect them enough to allow them to converse in an easygoing atmosphere without all this "grown folk" talk.

It takes a big person to get their point across without swearing; it takes no talent to curse.

Oh please, I wasn't never not calm. You agree with me that you don't see how it can be hated and that's my main point. Btw, even those young people know what swear words are and I'm sure they hear/see it everyday. Resident Evil IS rated Mature for a reason. "no talent to curse" is a stupid phrase, it's just how people talk. Everyone's different, let them talk how they want.

Resident Evil is rated mature not the forum - I think more people need to have respect for the fact that not everyone wants their children being exposed to that at a young age and, while children know what these words are, that doesn't make it right for you to drop F bombs in front of a group of grade school aged children. It doesn't take any talent to curse and it makes you look ignorant in the process. (Not to mention that CapcomGirl is one of the young users I'm talking about; and to whom I was responding to, might I add.) People may talk however they like but it would be nice to curb your language when in a mixed crowd such as an online forum where you don't know just how young a person you're responding to.

Have some respect for yourself and others - it's a common courtesy that everyone has a right to.

Even still, they know what it is and if they don't want their children exposed to it, they wouldn't have gotten them the game to begin with. Or they would pay attention to what they're doing on the internet. That's like having a kid on a forum about porn. "The porn is dirty but the forum isn't!" Yeah, but the forum is about something that's mature rated. Look at all the young kids on Facebook, I'm sure they have friends who post swear words on there, there's no reason to attack THAT person. This isn't the 50's anymore. Even though I didn't curse in this post, the guy who did, I'm just defending him. There's no reason to put him down for saying what he said. Besides, if it gets edited out with ******'s then who cares? People have a right to say what they want. Swearing doesn't make someone look ignorant, complaining about swearing makes you look ignorant. The world isn't getting any better, sweetie. I could understand your point if someone was swearing AT the kid, but they weren't.

Re: Anyone Else hate RE3

Alright Carriers of Dust and Magnolia, both of you have some points but i'm going to end this discussion now.

@Carriers of Dust, there is no need for excessive cursing, it's actually against our rules. You partially censored the words, but still it's absolutely no need to use such strong language. Maybe you are unaware of it, but sometimes you do come across as shouting and excessively swearing. You should consider to tone down your language sometimes.

End of off topic discussion. Any comments on this can be made on our profiles, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Edit:
Carriers of Dust, I apologize for mixing up two of the posts. It was CapcomGirl and not you who swore. My bad.

Ok, maybe hate is not exactly the right word because there were no angry fans complaining the same way they did with 4 or 5 due to the change of gameplay. However, I can find some reasons for someone not to like RE 3 even thought I do like it myself.

1. The city backround. It's not realistic at all. Many of the roads are like corridors and they even have doors to connect with each other! Not to mention the puzzles whose place is totally irrelevant. i.e The jewels you have to collect to enter the yard of the city hall.

2. The recycled gameplay. RE 3 had some great additions gameplay wise but it was the 3rd game which featured the same gameplay style. Some people don't like playing the same thing over and over and this is explained by the decline of RE 3 sales.

I said none of those reasons above. It is just what other people have said in threads like this one. see for yourself.

It's not the same thing over and over, the puzzles are completely different than the other games. Puzzles and zombies are what made the games... good! That's why most people hate 4 & 5, there's literally no puzzle solving or things to find to get into certain doors that require you to actually LOOk for the keys and stuff. Also no zombies. I've never heard people complain about the game style of the original games (except that it was too hard) but most people do like the original games more. Most people I know think 3 is the best game there is.

Yeah... it seemed like she was yelling at me for dropping the F bomb when you were the one that said it? I never (at least I don't think) have dropped the F bomb.

Don't get me wrong im not argueing with you...but i am going to say...why cant we just look at 3 the exact same as 4...the premiss of the story/game is the exact same...humankind is in danger from an ungodly virus...you need survive and bring down those who have tried to ruin this world...the gameplay wasnt the same...but the way you feel when you play it..."I need to stop this. What these guys are doing isnt right" is still there...even with 5, though the game failed to impress me...

Nah, I don't feel 3 & 4 are even close to compared.
