I think it is bound to happen but not they way some people see it. Globalization is happening at an alarming rate and it may not be long before we all speak one language and use one currency and all that. I don't see it as a sign of evil or the end of the world though. It is just happening.

I loved the epic speed. Once I got the hang of it I was just fine. At first though I was like wow this is pretty fast. Then I found the turbo button. Iwaslikewut!!!??? Hold that button down and your heart will stop.
The newest Sonic, Sonic: Unleashed had some epic parts. The running levels were some of the best levels I've seen in a Sonic game. They were definitely the fastest as well. The only thing that ruined that game was the Werehog segments. Other than that, Sonic has gone downhill.
I'm not that desperate to be "entertained". I feel using a tactic like surprising the audience is a cheap way around good story telling. Even if the story is bad, all people would talk about is the surprise ending. To me, that's cheap.
