Really ORC? Its a freat game don't get me wrong, but I didn't think it was GOTY material.I would have to say Resident Evil 6. I loved that game. However, before this year is up, I shall be getting The Walking Dead, and I am positive that it will replace RE6 as my GOTY.
The runner ups are Silent Hill Downpour, Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City.

I hate to say this because I'm starting to sound like a broken record because of how many times I've repeated it, but I'll say it again. It's his (Flipqy42's) opinion. If he says that it is one of his favorite games of this year, you don't second guess it (You don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever second guess someone's opinion.), instead you let it be. If I say that I hate the best game that was ever made (Which by the way there will never be one), you don't try and say "Bull****, you gotta love the game because everyone else likes it and it's the best game ever made". If I love the worst game of all time (Which again, there will never be one) then you don't say "You gotta be freaking kidding, that game sucks and you're a disgrace to humanity for liking it." (Of course you never did say those because those are just examples). You don't try and make someone change their opinion. If you can't agree with someone else's opinion, that's your problem.Really ORC? Its a freat game don't get me wrong, but I didn't think it was GOTY material.
Dude calm down! I was just asking the guy a question.I hate to say this because I'm starting to sound like a broken record because of how many times I've repeated it, but I'll say it again. In a way, you're right. It's impossible for one game to be objectively better than another because it is subjective how good a game is. However, popularity can be used to determine quality. Large numbers of people will praise one particular game over another, and that is as close to objectively establishing quality as we will ever get. Therefore, I submit to you that Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best game ever made. I also submit that the best band is The Beatles. You can disagree with me, but I have the vast majority on my side in both cases. If I say that I hate the best game that was ever made (Which by the way there will never be one),
Now hold on. I think you're confusing "favorite" with "best." My favorite game is Halo: Combat Evolved, but I wouldn't ever try to argue that it's better than Zelda: OoT. You can waltz around all willy-nilly saying your favorite game is whatever you damn please. When you say something is the best ever, you're trying to go beyond your personal quips and declare the one that is superior to all others no matter who is concerned.you don't try and say "Bull****, you gotta love the game because everyone else likes it and it's the best game ever made". If I love the worst game of all time (Which again, there will never be one) then you don't say "You gotta be freaking kidding, that game sucks and you're a disgrace to humanity for liking it." This argument is 100% flawed.Partly because it's 1:42 am and I'm tired but also because I have nothing better to do than listen to old Blink 182 albums while my computer finishes scanning, I'm going to entertain this with a reply.
If no one ever responded to another person's opinion, there would be no such thing as a discussion.

Why do I say Zelda is #1? Let's take a step back and look at the N64. The first generation of 3D rendered gaming. Not MarioKart64 which was just 2-dimensional objects arranged in a 3-dimensional environment. Zelda was the first game to give you a vast 3D world to explore on a scale that had never been fathomed by anyone before. It did so many things right that every 3D game that followed has elements that can be traced back to it. A lock-on system, intuitive use of jumping, how to make a camera that wasn't disorienting, all of these things have been echoed in games all the way up to the Xbox 360. Now, maybe you disagree with my decision in placing Zelda in the #1 slot, but you can't deny my REASONING. My reasoning has nothing to do with my own personal experience with the game (awesome as it was).
With all due respect...
I liked the part where Your argument is: INVALID.This argument is 100% flawed.
First part is flawed because discussions will still be around because discussions are started by talking, not second guessions. I have discussions with my friends a lot and most of the time it is not about our opinions. Your argument is: INVALID.
Second part is rendered 100% invalid. Being hyprocritical is always going to render your point 100% invalid. By saying that there is no game that can be the best, which you agreed to, then going off to say that there is a game considered the best and saying is objective is hypocritical. Your argument is also invalid for not having any proof that majority of people said that. Your argument is: INVALID
Third part, when did I ever bring up best and favorite during that statement? You just choose that for no reason, you're jumping to conclusions based on assumption, not to mention the entire last part of it was irreveleant. Your argument is: INVALID.
The last part, that's insultive. Your argument is: INVALID.
Your whole argument was invalid, hypocritical, not to mention you used insults.
AgentZero hardly warranted the response you provided here. He wasn't being particularly unkind nor was he even challenging Flipqy for his opinion; he merely gave his own opinion in turn and it was perfectly reasonable. I'm afraid you've been a bit over-the-top and confrontational for little reason with your responses to several individuals in this thread, friend.I hate to say this because I'm starting to sound like a broken record because of how many times I've repeated it, but I'll say it again.
