Looking back, you are right. I was too harsh (It's just when stuff about opinions comes up and it looks like there are some disagreement, I usually get irked up by it.) and I think the best thing I should've done was to not have said anything.

So I apologize to AgentZero for getting angry and I apologize to you since I started this.

LOL you didn't get me angry, just seemed you pretty hot over nothing.
 
I wish I had a favourite game of the year... but the only games I've played that came out this year were ORC and RE 6. And I couldn't stand RE 6 for more than a week without getting bored to death, so I guess ORC wins by default.

Didn't you, Story, and Mag play that game a lot and talk about things of varying levels of appropriateness? Wouldn't the game win by default just for that? :eek:

Oh, oh oh! Since three Resi games came out this year, we should have a poll for the best RE game of the year. :D

Most people say ORC sucks
A lot dont have a 3DS
RE6 was AMAZING!!!!

Not hard to see who would win, LOL.

Yeah, I must admit that our 'inappropriate awesomeness' probably influenced my decision with regards to my GotY moreso than the game itself. But at the same time I just can't bloody stand RE 6.
 
Well, I'm glad you guys have stopped bickering. Anyway, for me, RE6, ORC, and Revelations are all tied. I enjoyed playing the three of them, just RE6 slightly more.
 
Definetly Re6 for me by far. Was impressed mostly with the attention to detail and good storylines. Although there was too much QTA and casual parts, overall its a great game. I havent played any of the other major releases, i missed ORC the first time round and having just got that i think it controls really badly. Iv got the 3ds and really like Revelations but not got very far into it!
The other big games and companies i like haven't had a major release this year. i had silent hill downpour but i didnt like the combat at all. I've been recommended Walking Dead games as im a big fan of the comics but not got around to it yet.

So true. :p 2012 was AWFUL in gaming! I was so excited for ORC and RE6, and both let me down. :( Hmm, I really didn't buy much else, now that I think of it... Oh, well, I also bought Mass Effect 3, but the ending was so bad on that. Still, I guess my GOTY for 2012 goes to that.
 
The games I played the most this year are Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. I know Skyrim came out last year but it's an amazing game imo and I haven't got bored of it yet, still have a lot of exploring left to do. As for Mass Effect 3, I didn't find the sp campaign to be as good as Mass Effect 2 (I played through that game several times) but the mp has me hooked.

Don't get me started on Black Ops 2... that game is so broken even after the patches they released that were supposed to fix stuff :rolleyes: But I do enjoy playing TranZit on zombies mode.
 
I'm going to have to say RE6. It's the only game made this year that I have finished more than once and still play on occasion.
The only others that I really liked this year were RE: Revelations, Yakuza: Dead Souls and Rhythm Theif and the Emperor's Treasure. This year was pretty bad, everything that I was looking forward to either got cancelled or isn't getting an English language release.

Edit: After playing The Walking Dead, thanks to Book Of McGlynn Memories's recomendation, I must say it's definitely one of the best of 2012.
