He was working for the president in Resident evil 4. That doesn't mean He's still working for him. Maybe he was going on a vacation. It DOES take place Airline area. Planes. :D Take you to far off destinations.

yeah, Leon need a break sometimes..
but I think he was called by the S.W.A.T. team to the airport..
you know.. job experience he has.

It would just seem like his luck, if he was going on a vacation. I mean, his first days at work are pretty intense. How would a vacation turn out? :D
