I just saw Deadpool 2, wow. Movie sequels have a nefarious track record of not being as good as the original, but this movie is actually on par with or, dare I say better than the original in many ways. This movie actually made me feel emotionally invested in the characters, something that was sorely lacking from the original. Throw in jokes and action scenes that were even more hilariously over-the-top than the original, and you're in for a real treat.

PS, I generally don't like rap, but I don't mind hearing "X Gon Give It To Ya".

Saw Deadpool 2 last night (near Time Square- which is pretty damn difficult to get into because showings were selling out quickly here!) but I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard during a movie- at least not in a long time. I definitely enjoyed it more than the first and loved a lot of the over-the-top fight scenes. So good.

I just watched Fahrenheit 451 on HBO Go a few days ago.

Holy sh!t, what did I just watch? I didn't even read the book so I don't care how closely it follows the source material, and this movie was terrible. Most generic plot I've ever seen with no character development. I guess it's true what they say about a trailer being the best part of a film because it did look fairly promising.

Just got back from Solo: A Star Wars Story, it’s not perfect and it’s fairly predictable (it is a prequel after all) but dammit if I didn’t enjoy this movie. I loved the set designs and of course the train scene was cool to see in the realm of Star Wars. It was fun getting to see more of the Wookies and getting to see how Han meets Chewie. I also really liked Emilia Clark’s character and now suddenly want my hair short again. And of course I always love seeing Woody Harrelson.

Annihilation- so it’s kind of late to write anything too thoughtful but I feel the need to say that this movie is simply awesome. I was getting some The Last of Us vibes along with Alien and Stranger Things. It’s so dark and kind of twisted, I love it.

I started watching Game of Thrones for the first time last night. Never have I been so grossed out and surrounded by characters that I hate so quickly. But I'm gonna continue out of morbid curiosity.

I rented it on Redbox a couple of weeks ago, and I agree, it was really good.

Anyway, I'm thinking about seeing Hereditary tonight because I like me some good, genuinely scary horror films and I heard this movie provides both.

So, Cheval-Serpent..I don't speak much French but I am hopelessly addicted to this show. And I usually don't get into stuff like this :| guess I have to learn French now lol

I just saw Hereditary last night. Holy sh!t, this movie is weird and creepy as hell, and I loved it. This is one of the best and most unique horror films I've seen in quite a while. It doesn't pick up until well into the third act, but when it does, boy is it bonkers and chilling. Even the ending, without going into spoilers, didn't make much sense. Even better, the trailers did a great job at not revealing too much, in fact, it revealed very little of what it's actually about, unlike most trailers nowadays, which is another plus.

I'm watching Day of the Dead. The thinking man's zombie movie.

I just watched Pacific Rim: Uprising. Holy sh!t, this movie was mediocre-at-best, not nearly as good as the first. The plot is a bloated mess packed with a new cast of characters nobody gives a sh!t about and forgettable action scenes and none of the fun of the original, kinda like another critically and commercially-panned sequel (ID: Resurgence). Now I know why I waited for the Redbox.

Currently watching Tomb Raider (2018), easily one of the better videogame movies, but still nothing special, though I must say I like Alicia Vikander's version of Lara a lot. You can tell certain shots directly took inspiration from the TReboot games.

Watched First Blood.
After years of these crazy, action-packed Rambo movies from Sly Stallone, it's rather odd and refreshing to watch a Rambo movie firmly grounded in realism.

And as a bonus, I loooove pointing out the filming locations in Hope, B.C.

Then you'll be happy to know Rambo V goes into production soon.

Here's the Creed II trailer. I saw it yesterday. Not much of Drago's son in it, though.

Sorry. That is fake. Here is the real one.

Watching Fist of The North Star: The Movie since it was released on Blu-ray recently. It's purdy gud
An uncompressed PCM track for the Japanese dialogue, as well as including the Japanese home video ending and the English titles and slates from Streamline's VHS release is pretty kickass.
Now I just wish we had a remastered English track, since the dub has the better credits theme.

This is honestly one of my favourite scenes in anime.

Just Saw Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. Its about average, like I expected

I saw it on Friday, and I'd have to say it was pretty underwhelming as well. The first half was good, the second half was boring and dragged on. I also didn't care one bit for any of the new characters in the film.

Just got home from watching The First Purge. As someone who never watched the others, it was eh. I put it in the same category as the Saw films: Decent popcorn flicks when there's nothing else to watch, but nothing you should really go out of your way to watch it.
