Somtimes i think this depends on what machine you try to run, people try do that on old ones and then complain it runs crappy for them but well sometimes game devs also can do porting disaster that everyone feel after sometimes too.
Well honestly. I think it's people with half decent computers, and by half decent I mean upper mid range customer built PC's. The only way to go.
Well a lot of those people are having issues and Capcom can't ports worth ****. DMC is an exception and I heard that game plays phenomenally on PC. I wished I could see it in action but I've heard nothing but good things about it's performance. Resident Evil Gold edition for PC.... which came out this year. Yes PC got Lost in Nightmares 5 years later than anyone else..... well at least they finally got one Resident Evil game that runs smooth and flawless on PC. Congratulation Capcom. It took you guys 6 years to get one flawless running game on PC. I love PC gaming but I am going to be blunt on this. It's a waste of Capcom's resources as they clearly had troubles with it and they should focus on the console market.
Resident Evil stands for quality. I don't want this half baked bull**** we've been seeing over the past 5 years, Revelation games aside.

For DMC games i can tell trurly DMC 4 and 3 SE play beautifully on PC as i have both them and played on laptop with High Graphics and stuff and they take nice look only one who given me problems been that DmC ( not even helps that Capcom given port task to one Polish firm ) had some bad bugs like unexpected freezes in it, well with RE only for now I played RE 5 GFWL port ( i have steam version too on mine account just not installed still as i search for someone to do CO-OP) and it not given me on DX 10 so many errors people talked about that its crap. So also i can't tell for now but as told i think when people buy crap PC parts its their fault and not game one.
Interesting. I find that interesting because from what I heard from people is that the DmC one was the best ported game Capcom had released in a long time. Or perhaps wit was the best optimised if you had a upper end rig. I defiantly haven't taken a look at the older DMC games for PC. Personally when I play a PC game. I want the full mouse and keyboard experience. Otherwise I'll play it on console. It really comes down to the type of game the game is. How does it feel? Assassin's Creed for one, is awkward on PC.
It's true I can go and buy a mock controller for the PC, but it's just not the same. Not to me. Perhaps it's a personal thing from growing up and being stuck with PC is PC and means mouse and keyboard xD It has is advantages and it's disadvantages. Almost like a Nintendo gimmick lmao! Jk.
Back to Capcom ports. I am just disappointed by a company with such high caliber quality of games... can't get PC right and it took them 5 years to fix Resident Evil 5 and give us a full complete package. I think that is pathetic. I guess it disappoints me gravely.
PS. Sorry if my typing is all over the map. I took my sleeping pill about an hour ago and I should be in bed. I just am having that moment that I don't like having The one where I feel kinda jaded and sad at the same time..... *sighs* oh well. Well, don't forget. The original Resident Evil had a couple of zombies that opened the door politely. Like that one that took three head shots with Barry's gun to put down. That one didn't beat the door down, it used the door knob.
Nope it's not just you, Reunion was definitely easier to play through. Do a lot of people still play RE5? I need to play through it again, it kind of sucks though because my new PS3 doesn't have my data and I have to go back a find/unlock everything again. This will be the second time that I've had to do this- I'm pretty sure I have muscle memory from all the hours sent on that game.
Annnd I want Capcom to bring back Albert... again. I just think it will make things all the more interesting seeing as I doubt he would join forces with Alex. I guess that's the beauty of fanfiction.
I'm not sure if many people play it anymore. I just pick a Resident Evil game at random and play it since I can never decide which one to play.
I think it would be interesting to see how Albert would interact with Alex too, and Jake. I've never really read fanfiction, but maybe I should just to see other people's interpretations.
Yeah, I'm pretty picky when it comes to fanfictions but there are definitely some gems written- some ideas better than others. I'm making it a goal to at least begin writing my own after my last final tomorrow!

It depends on the Resident Evil community you are a part of. I think this site has the most logical fans for the most part. I don't want to offend anyone because I love everyone over at DA and if they read this. I LOVE YOU! xD
But a lot of the people there believe that Alex and Albert were lovers and that the two were working together and wanted to rule together. Trying to save each other. Honestly it's the silliest idea and I think they just are hooked on the idea and don't want to see it any other way. Go look at the fan art and see what they are saying. I think their fandom took over because there is just no way!!!
Alex even sees herself as superior and they are proven to be rivals who pushed each other. Alex was sick so she couldn't fight Albert. However she was manipulating from the shadows and was very resourceful where Albert had to take and earn those resources for himself. All ways trying to control and organisation of some sort. Alex had it all... the wealth, researchers and followers. Most who followed her in fear or devotion. Where Albert's followers believed in him and what he was trying to achieve. Look at Krauser for one example.
I think Alex and Albert would have a clash if one got in the way of the other. They both have HUGE egos and dare I say that Alex's ego makes Albert look like a bitch. She's really good and makes that point be known. She's very full of herself and is a bigger bullshitter than Albert. Albert is the king of all bull****.... so that is saying something. At least Albert doesn't tell lie after lie after lie to make people get on their hands and knees and suck him off.
It is late and maybe later I will do a write up on how Alex was created to be a polar opposite of Albert. Even the director had confirmed that. From minor things to gender to some very large things such as their portrayal in game. There is quite a lot that could be listed and the contrast is huge. There are some similarities as well and there were one or two major plot points from the original Resident Evil were very similar and recreated in Revelations 2. A lot of people did not catch on or notice this near recreation of a very famous fate. The contrast is similar yet vastly different as Alex herself stated.
If you or anyone else wants. I would be more than happy to make a thread and explain this. I've spent hours and hours and hours researching Alex's character with developer interviews, stuff in the game, and even reading Japanese translations from the Japanese version which is the original. The Japanese version shows a more emotional side of Alex (apparently), explains more about Neil's motivations which actually makes his story important, and Alex actually acknowledges Barry and the other characters (which she seems to ignore in the English version.... stupid as hell).
I think I've said this before, but I think it's really weird that people say Alex and Albert were lovers. Even if not by blood, they were "siblings".
I like to look at the differences and similarities too. I love how Alex and Albert had the opposite shades and colours in their clothes. Alex had white and red, Albert had black and blue.

I definitely don't mind doing so. I haven't made a thread in a while so why not? I'm sure it's a very interesting topic to discuss. Lots of people love Alex and Albert and maybe we'll all find new insight on the characters.
Yeah I think it's weird as well. I think it's pretty gross actually.... I mean really... lovers? Yeah no.... That's ****ed and it just doesn't make any sense for an umber of reasons. Let's not mention that Albert was all surprised about Project W. when he found Spencer and while the two of them knew each other. It doesn't seem like Alex was exactly honest with him. And they were off doing their own thing the entire time. Alex was also in charged of Project W. and Alex always referred to Albert as a brother and a "fellow Wesker" she seemed to be more in the know of what he did and he seemed oblivious, from what we know, of what she did. Obviously there was some contact as she asked for a Uroboros sample and she gave it to him, and she took the rest of his research after he died. She also had some respect for him even though she "abandoned him" as known by the relation of Metamorphosis by Kafka (this is important to understand the story).
A lot of people base this because she was saddened that he died and wore volcanic rock around her neck (presumed to be the remains of Albert). Albert's death made her realise that she too was capable of death and this caused her to work faster on her immortality project. So yes there was an importance in this, but at the same time.... no they were not lovers and they have different ideals and mindsets. Other than both wanting to be god like.
Definitely not in support of the incest theory that is the pairing of Wesker and Alex (not that they are really blood related but they grew up together like siblings if I understand the Wesker Project correctly). I'm sure there is some admiration between the two of them and their accomplishments but nothing more. I can't imagine them getting along seeing as they both have a god complex and are psychopaths. Both would stab the other in the back in a heart beat after getting what they want from the other. I do think that Wesker's attitude towards Alex would be pretty amusing to watch- he's a pretty sassy guy who would probably think "it's my world, b*tch, you're just living in it".
