What are you thinking? (Part 2)

Rain611

You can't kill me.
Thanks, haha. Luckily for me and those around me I was taught gun safety 20 years ago and have had practice and additional professional training since then. I would like to eventually have a recurve, compact and cross bow at some point. I got a recurve bow I guess about a year ago and really enjoy shooting targets with it. I like the pistol cross bow though I wouldn't mind having a more conventional cross bow. Just need a compact bow now.

Happy anniversary. I just celebrated my 9 year wedding anniversary on May 22nd lol.

Happy Belated!

Sorry, this is just WAY TOO FUNNY to not share.

In TOKYO, from a popular message board r/japan on Reddit‘dot‘com:

“Our son doesn‘t want to work like a normal person he says, wants to sit at home and do nothing.”

“Cut back on his allowance! Or throw him out!”

“We can’t do that. He is 30 next year and would be homeless and maybe kill himself.”

“Sit him down and discuss his options. Therapie?”

“We tried that. He says he has mental illness and cannot work. He is not gay though.”

A terrible malady has befallen Japan. Young men are committing life-long slo-mo suicides. They are vegging out in their box rooms or at their parent‘s houses, wasting their pointless existence in front of computer screens. They are turning into living trash.

They are called the Hikikomori [pronounced: Hee-Kee Komoree] or “shut-in-hermits.” Millions of males are quitting society and squatting on their tatami mats for years and decades until they die from mental exhaustion.

The government is partly complicit. It wants to reduce the subpar population and prevent those losers from making copies of themselves.

Big Corporations are preying on the time of the Hikikomori, for they are good at clicking, swiping and scrolling on whatever you give them—computer games, websites, porn and advertisement. The average Hikikomori spends 16 hours on brainless online activities. They are mining virtual coins for Clash Royale and Candy Crush, or watching 1 billion hours of TikTok videos.

[Maybe we could teach them how to code?]

In the past, during old capitalism, the ruling elites would exploit the labor force of the underclasses, labor slaves really, but in this new world of data harvesting, all they want is to lock them up in their tiny apatos and see their online clicks, likes and views.

Good luck America! A 5,000 year old civilization is awakening, if that's not enough to convince you, let's look at raw mathematics!

China: Population 1.4 billion w/ average IQ of 100
United States: Population 400 million w/ average IQ of...80? 85?

(I love Americans btw, just not their stupid aggressive expansionist Anglo-whitey hegemonic government).

Quality goes beyond quantity. I've lived in China for 4 years and I speak Mandarin, and your words are just pure BS talk taken straight from the 50 cent army. It's whataboutism at its finest.

China is still a very poor country in terms of GDP per capita, and this is not going to change either since the CCP doesn't actually care about the Chinese people. Healthcare is terrible, the police are incredibly corrupt, air quality is disastrous, the list goes on. There's a reason why Chinese people who can afford it are doing everything they can to emigrate.

Besides, this same old "5000 years of history" talk is so damn boring at this point. Who cares? The argument was invented a few years ago by butthurt Chinese nationalists to make of fun of the US having only existed for 300 years compared to the "powerful 5000 years of Chinese history". Well, guess what, the current People's Republic of China have only existed for 73 years so there's that. The regime of Taiwan (ROC) is technically older, lol. Besides, if history is all that matters why isn't Egypt and Greece with their own 5000 years old civilizations so damn powerful today?

Tthe video you posted is just a meaningless military parade. The Chinese army has no significant combat experience, compared to the US army which is actively engaged in conflicts around the world. Say what you want about the United States' involvement in such matters, but a hypotethical war between China and the US would be catastrophic for the Chinese, not the Americans. Besides, China has basically little to none friends since they have done a great job at ****ing off their neighbours with their expansionist policies. Comparingly, the US is on good terms with a lot of powerful nations. Pretty ironic that you accuse the US for being expansionist when the Chinese are the ones currently doing it.

In my experience the Chinese are blaming every domestic fault and issue on other nations, specifically the West. They are nothing but a bunch of crybabies, and all they do is constantly try to prove themselves better than the West. The sad thing is that it didn't have to be this way. Things in China were actually improving back before Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, but he has bascially destroyed all of my and others' hopes of China becoming a good, stable and free country.

Businesses are leaving China, and the CCP under Xi Jinping isn't trying to get them back either. They are becoming more and more nationalistic with their isolation policies, and I can't think of anyone in the free world who'd want to move to China right now. And even if you wanted to, you couldn't, because it seems like they're going to continue with their stupid zero Covid policy for YEARS to come.

You make some good points but at the same time U.S.A. appears to be going down the tubes so what difference does it make?

I mean Roe Vs. Wade just got shot down, Americans are starting to reject liberalism/leftism (Biden's approval rating is in the 30's) and appear to be heading towards a right wing gas station of a country. Just like the Russians rejected Communism in the 1980's and 1990's.

For real man, what's the agenda here? Pan Europeanism and white egalitarian supremacy? I just don't subscribe to "Europeanism", sorry good sir. "White supremacy, but with good healthcare" doesn't sound like a good idea for the United States. I'd rather be a 2nd rate country that's free and independent than try to hamfist Reddit-tier Euro crap on the North American continent.

There's no agenda, stop putting words in my mouth. You’re the only one talking about racial issues, white supremacism, etc. I do know American politics are obsessed with race but I'm not (I'm from Sweden), so don't you dare try and bait-and-switch me on this. If I had any sort of agenda, it would simply be that I prefer democracy to dictatorship, which isn't particularly controversial.

The point I was trying to make was this: If you want to talk about China, try and do it without mentioning the United States. I mean, when people talk about the US they tend to focus on the US which is what you're supposed to do. When people talk about Sweden they tend to talk about Sweden, and so on. But you, just like many others, have been bait-and-switched by Chinese propaganda into thinking that you can't talk about China without talking about the US. This has been the agenda by Chinese nationalists and pro-CCP trolls for decades, but it's increased in scale since 2012.

Secondly, since I actually know what it's like living in an undemocratic, dictatorial nation perhaps you shouldn't be too quick on praising a country like China. Comparingly, look to free, democratic and successful nations like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and so on and tell me if these countries are promoting "pan-europeanism and white egalitarian supremacy"? Seriously, you're just obsessed with race. This isn't the US, this is about the whole world. Come back when you no longer believe in the "evil white people" myth which is just as stupid as people who think the evil Jews rule the world.

Something very very strange is going on, on another forum.

Can't quite put my finger on it yet, but it's definitely making me uncomfortable...

Anything that has happened here before?
No, I don't think so. It's a member who is a little bit...I dunno. Off? Something sus about them but I can't figure out what it is.

Their posts are worded in a way that seems normal but has very unsettling undertones. I want to give the benefit of the doubt (and they aren't breaking rules), but everything they put makes me feel...ick.

I dunno. It's prolly just me overreacting

Speaking as someone who has been both moderator and admin in various forums... trust your instincts on this. In my experience, they always turn out to be correct.
