What are you thinking? (Part 2)

Alzheimer is a very sad disease, because it makes you lose them twice. The first loss is a slow one that can take years, then it is the sudden loss when they die. :(
Truer words were never spoken. I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's a few years ago and it was terrible to watch such a lively, pistol of a woman go through something like that.

My condolences, Silverback. :(

The Sioux in me is showing today. I have never been so damn angry in my life....my hands are shaking, my face is blood red and I'm about to hurt somebody. Why can't the people I work for atleast TRY to hire someone who knows what the **** they're doing? If you're going to be a taxi cab driver, don't you think that it would make perfect LOGICAL sense..to be sure they know what the hell they're doing? I am sick to ****ing death of getting cursed out by customers because you can't comprehend house numbers and ****. And my fist hurts.....from punching the desk....I haven't punched any people yet so we're good for now.

My grandmother had Alzheimer's and it was very difficult for all of us. Particularly my mother, because my grandma remembered me, but forgot who her own daughter was altogether.
It was very sad, to see grandma and have her say, 'Where is that lady that's always with you.'
*sadface*
Hang in there, Silverback.

My grandfather had Alzheimer's too..but that isn't what killed him. I'm terribly sorry Silverback *hugs* it hurts, I know..but like I'm sure you've heard already, it gets better. There's no telling how long it will take, but it does get better. If you ever need a shoulder, you've got one right here :)

Thanks, man.

Yeah, it's an awful disease. It scares me how something can just come along and simply erase your memory. It's like your memorys of loved ones are just deleted or something.

Sorry you had to go though the same thing. Crap happens, I guess.

@ Tremor: Thanks munchkin! :D *hugs*

Hang in there, Silverback.
It was the exact opposite with my grandmother, she only remembered her earlier life; when she did remember her grandchildren, it was only the older ones but I think she almost always remembered her children.
