My best friend was moving away the day we went snowboarding (yes, for some reason her family moved at night), so I wanted to spend as much time with her as I could. I'd never snowboarded before, but she was really good so she wanted to help teach me instead of me doing something else. I usually have pretty good balance, but the moment I started moving with the snowboard I fell, and I couldn't get up at all. I was helped up, then I fell again and my legs twisted a way they never should've twisted. It hurt really, really bad. Then I tried to go down a hill (yeah, brilliant when I could barely even stand up, I know) and fell face first into the snow, while the kids next to us that had apparently barely snowboarded before were doing really well which made it even more embarassing. And of course, I twisted my legs again. Then we decided to take a break, and when I decided I would try again, I got outside... and fell through the snow. I got up, shook off the snow, and it could've been like a dramatic movie where the character gets up again and tries to accomplish what they're trying to do and dramatically wins, but no, instead of snowboarding, I ended up snowfalling down the hill head first again, but this time I slid down the whole hill instead of stopping. The fact that the guy I've been into for a long time was with us and saw everything didn't help. I have a bad temper so I was getting really mad at that point, so I told my friend that she could go on the bigger hill she wanted to go on with our other friends, so I went and moped around in the locker room drinking bottles of Coke and being lonely and miserable.
After a while they came back and we left.
