What are you thinking? (Part 2)

CT: I'm starting to wonder what it is with Japanese girls and strangers. In what feels like ever third episode of the anime I'm currently watching (and it's a relatively new anime, not one from 50 years ago), a schoolgirl is threatened by a bully with a photo of her with some guy in public. So the most terrible thing that can happen to a Japanese girl's reputation is being seen with a boy who doesn't attend the same school, and if it goes public, she'll be known as a slut forever? Different countries different manners, I get it, but that's just stupid.
What anime are you watching my friend? I watch a LOT of anime, and while that's not unheard of, per se, it's not a common theme...Not in most of 'em that I've watched at least.

Hell Girl. It's about a website called Hell Correspondence that can only be accessed at midnight and only if you have enough hatred in your heart, then you can type in the name of the person you hate and Hell Girl comes to take them immediately to Hell, but at the price of your own soul once you die.

It's really interesting, but it also shows how very different Japanese culture apparently is from Western culture. People get sent to Hell for little things that I would never even think of taking offence at, and whenever the current main character is a schoolgirl, chances are she's being bullied and the situation I described yesterday will come up sooner or later. That's weird, though, because I've also seen all five seasons of Sailor Moon, an anime that is ten years older and also from Japan, yet the girls go out with different boys all the time and no one ever says anything.

Resident Evil 0 is available on the Nintendo GameCube and the Wii. It falls under Capcom's exclusivity contract with Nintendo, which is why, like REmake (and RE4 once), it's only available on Nintendo platforms.

CT: Been playing Dead Space 2 recently (courtesy of our very own Story), and I have to say, it's one of the best games I've played in years! I don't know how I managed to stay away from it this long, but I'm glad I'm no longer a stranger. This is what survival horror is all about! Can't wait to get through it and into DS3!

That sounds fantastic...I might have to look into this one!

If you have a Wii you can get some of the best RE games ever made. REmake, RE0, RE4 (Wii Version is the best), RE: Umbrella Chronicles, and RE: Darkside Chronicles...In other words, the Wii is VERY worth it for a major RE fan...

In UK you can buy those games (Remake and Zero) for less than 10 pounds each, so it's not a big money, I think ;) If you interested, you can write to me a PM, we can figured something out. You live in Europe, if I good remember?:)

That sucks. I think Code Veronica was for Game Cube too at first and then they released an PS2 version. I was hoping the same would happen with other Re. Wishfull thinking... XD

CODE Veronica was on Dreamcast before its PS2 port, CODE Veronica X, then finally the GameCube version when Capcom made that deal to port the entire RE series up to that point for GameCube. GameCube really is worth owning for any fan of RE, you just have to find decent prices for the games.

CODE Veronica X has 9 minutes of additional cutscenes, minor graphical updates, and if you preordered the game for RE's fifth anniversary, Wesker's Report.
CODE Veronica X HD, obviously makes that all HD but some of the music is remastered and item placements are different, so good luck learning where they all are all over again.
