Woah, didn't mean to derail this thread with my replies. My bad OP.
Lol I'm a fan of both although I do favor Chris more than Leon but Lonesurvivor did post some valid points. I just never knew why people hate Chris and Sheva so much.

This isn't true at all. She was always going to be in RE5.
^ Exactly.

Thanks, man. I was a big fan of Chris but as i stated in the other posts of why i don't like Chris any more, he changed for the worst. But we'll see RE6 looks amazing but i"ll probably play as Leon and Jake first then Chris. I just feel that we won't be getting to much info out of Chris's story because he's just rushing into it. Where Leon right from the start is looking for clues and evidence and Jake i think is looking for answers too.

Sure does. What is Leon doing that's more important than what Chris is? Leon's behind the scenes playing detective while Chris is right on the front lines. Chris has had a harder life and is more of a soldier than Leon will ever be. tharsheblows, we may have to silence some of these Leon fans lol.

Lol I don't think we need to silence anyone because I could care less but I just wanted to point out how one-sided his reply was as if Chris isn't as important to this game as Leon is.

I was joking when I said that by the way people. Everyone will have their fair share of the spotlight and importance to the story.

hahaha Chris is in this for revenge, Leon is trying to solve whats going on. That's pretty clear just by what has been shown. haha Chris has had a hard life outside of the games but in them he has it as hard as everyone else. Chris fans. jeez lol As i pointed out in other posts i use to like Chris as much as Leon but his character hasn't grown for the better. Chris was the man that no one could beat and now he's a joke. Hell, now his story is that he lost his memory and trying to remember then he's just out for revenge. Leon's is trying to find out what caused this out break and then who caused. Finds that out it's Simmons then is being setup from that guy and has to find evidence so that the world knows the truth plus clear his own name. Which you sounds more important to you? lol We really don't know what Jakes' story is other then trying to get his blood to create a cure. Which even that little info is more important then Chris 's part. Now if they broaden and exactly add some real meat to Chris's story that would be awesome. Oh if your arguement is that Chris is more of a soldier then yeah your right. He had air force experience and then was a expert marksman before RE1. But even tho he founded BSAA and is a Captain he's still treated like a expendable grunt, just like a soldier. So your competely right. lol

We all know Chris is it in for revenge. That was stated from the trailers. Wouldn't you be as well if someone murdered your whole squad or someone important to you? How is that any less important for the story? To me that brings more emotion to Chris because he has a personal gain to achieve. Chris getting amnesia is in no way going to lessen his plot. Chris had to stop Wesker in multiple scenarios. Has Leon ever had to stop someone multiple times from ending humanity? No. Has Leon life been at state more than Chris? No. Has Leon lost an important friend or partner? No. Chris has a harder life in or out of war, and more character development. You think people can stay the same forever? War changes people and sometimes for the worst. For Chris ending this terrorist attack will mean more because he's been through more. Its not about being a fan. Its about noticing who has the deeper role. And everything Chris has gone through Leon cannot stack up to.

If Chris would have his memories it would have made for a better game Cause he would be haunt by his past and the realization that what he tried to prevent happened any way. Would have been more emotional and had more Character development that way. But we'll see what happens and just hope for that best. Probelm with that is that revenge isn't about personal gain. Its about getting even. Taking from someone that took from you. Yea i agree with you it does give Chris more emotion but its the wrong kind. Chris is seen so far jumping in head first ( well from what we saw so far) this means that Chris is in this for himself and thats it, he doesn't even want for her to be held for her crimes just kill her. Getting revenge doesn't help you as a person you just become what you hate in the first place to get to him/her. Which by the what BSAA must have very lax protocols cuz Chris was drunk off his ass and and has amnesia and they say here's a handgun and a machine gun have fun lol

Back on topic Let address your points you made: Wesker only tried to end humanity once. Chris fought Wesker twice and only once did he stop Wesker. Wesker got away with Steve so Chris didn't stop him and that wasn't trying to end humanity that was for a sample of the virus. Has Leon stopped multiple people from trying to stop the world from ending yes and so has Chris. For Chris: Alexia and Wesker for Leon : Saddler and Jaiver Hidalgo. Javier's goals weren't to end the world at first but the moment he became one with the V complex all he wanted was to consume everything which would have spread to the whole world. Has Leon's Life been at stake as much as Chris. Let's add it up.Chris: RE1, Re:CV, RE:UB, RE5, Re:REV ok now Leon: Re2, RE: dc, RE4( in which he was infected), RE: Degen, RE: Damnation and both are in RE6. Which brings them both out to 6 for both of them so answering your question no they are both tied.

Has Leon lost someone he loved or a partner. Yes 3 in fact. Leon fell in love with Ada in Re2 and thought he lost her forever. Leon lost Louis who was his only friend in RE4 and went after Saddler for it but also to get the sample which was Louis's dying wish. And Krauser was Leon's partner and they did get close near the end well from Leon's point of view. Chris Lost Jill which is huge But he got her back. Chris has had only two honest hardships in the game series that being the Death of Jill and now losing his memory. Leon and Chris have both the same amount of hardships in the field and both have paid their dues. Chris however takes it in doesn't learn from it and grow. He just becomes bitter and angry which i understand but when your into something this serious you have to always remember what happened but let it go to move on and to help others and prevent it from happening again. Thats alot easier said then done but it's true. Going on your last statement that this will mean more to him would be true if Chris remembered anything which he doesn't remember Raccoon City or anything with bioterrorism at all in the begin of the game at least. Like you said noticing who has a deeper role is important but it;s not Chris. To tell you the truth Emotional wise it will probably be Jake. Knowledge wise Leon. Chris is a tale of redemption.

That's the thing, his past still does haunt him. We know he doesn't have amnesia long and he still remembers what happens because he says this quote, "I can't keep running away, I have to face the truth, accept responsibility. We both can agree if Chris whether he lost his memory or not it still makes good further development because he has to overcome a obstacle in his mind. Something Chris has not had to do in awhile to this kind of degree. Revenge may not be the best route to take. You're only becoming the essence of what your pursuing. But who's to say if Chris would have actually shot Ada when he found her? Leon stopped him. So no one can say for certain he would've killed her right then and there. I'm sure Pier's wouldn't have let him anyway. The BSAA aren't the ones who sent Chris back again. He made his own choice to come back. He just had to cope with the recent events that happened to him.

Wesker may have only tried to eliminate the human race in RE5, but throughout the series he was building up to that point. Fighting him was not a easy. Chris stopped Wesker twice and killed him on the third try, killed a Tyrant, Talos, found/rescued Clair, and all the events of RE5 to save time. I can't say anything about RE REV because I haven't played it. As for Leon it was mainly down two games in the series he went through. I'm not going to count the movies because I haven't seen them and I'm trying to stick to games. So not counting movies when you look at it game wise Chris's life has been on the line more.

No, don't bother with the whole trivial Leon/Ada love thing. Leon and Ada do not have feelings for each other. Ada merely used him to get where she wanted and what she needed. That's a card a lot of fans like to throw, but I'm not even going to think of her as a valid "friend". Next you said Louis. True they were mutual friends at the moment though it wasn't nothing long term. I don't know if I could consider his death to be all that meaningful. They meant and did a couple things to help each other out. Could they have become real friends had he lived? Maybe. Now Krauser is the only one I can say was actually Leon's friend because he was at a time. They were both partners once. But Krauser in the end betrayed Leon and tried to kill him. Chris does take things to heart and I think once he even admits his feelings sometime slow him down. But eventually he shapes up and finishes what he started. We can say for certain that Chris does not go through the entire game with memory lost because of certain dialogue and events. When he does come back to I'm sure he'll ready to end this once and for all. I do agree with the last thing you said about the roles that fit each of them.

Wesker was trying to get power which he thought was to rebuild Umbrella but with himself in charge of the show. Once He found Spencer and found out what his plan was he killed him and took it for himself. Wesker was a great villian but when it came down to he wanted to copy what was done before but just do it better. Everything he did was to be better then the ones that started it all. To Wesker, Umbrella was the embodiment of this and Spencer was the one that he had to beat.

Haha Come on , man killing a tyrant is like a requirement to the Resident evil series. Everyone has done it and and it's not a big achievement well except in Jill's case she had Nemesis. Any thing in canon is counted can't just cut stuff out . lol Leon's beat mutated mr. X, Birkin, Saved the world from T-Veronica outbreak by killling Javier, saved the world from Saddler and the the los plagas, fought an killed a second G-virus infacted in Curtis miller, also saving the only copy of the T-virus antidote making the T-virus moot. They have both had just as much time risking their lifes as stated in the last post then have made a even amount of appearances in the series. Which they should they are the two front men to this whole series. Unless Clairre makes an appearance soon and a actucally role not just being there. She will fall out of the limelight then it'll be just Chris, Leon and Jill. Tho i won't mind seeing Sherry and Jake coming back in another story. I think that Jill and Claire should team up for the next one then let re8 be the end of it and start the whole series over.

The whole Ada/Leon is one of the only emotional things of the whole series and she has gone out of her way to prove that she cares about Leon it's just not something that can't be because they are on opposite sides. She almost died for him in re2 in both versions the canon B and in version A she died telling him she wanted to be with him. In re 4 She breaks her orders and goes out of her way to save him and even if you watch the cutscenes in she says one thing but then does another to make sure Leon's ok. Even small little things show she cares like her the way she say his name in a concerned manner and or let's out shocked gasps. Basicly she speaks a big game that she doesn't but sure goes out of her way to help Leon even tho it could cost her the mission. Yeah she does use him but she's a woman , thats expected. lol

I think who will die of the main 10 characters (Chris, Piers, Leon, Helena, Jake, Ada, Sherry, Helper, Simmons, Carla) will be Piers, Carla and Simmons. Or maybe Ada and Leon takes it out on Carla. Jake could also.

Oh Simmons is a dead man, and probably Carla.Piers is Young Chris. Thats what he reminds me of. I think he'll be cool to play as( haven't play as him yet on the demo) Chris and Leon won't die, neither will Ada. She is needed to clear Leon's name and to connect Simmons to the crimes he's committed. If they kill Sherry that would be horrible we just got her back. lol

- jakes' going to be the main man from now on in resident evil lore.....If they were going to kill anyone off its chris !

She helped Leon those few times because she may have had some further use for him in the future. There is no special thing going on between those two. I don't mind these kind of debates. Some people just bash on characters with no reason behind it.

Why do you want Chris to die so bad?

This is pointless debate because you'll see it your way until there is proof other wise and visa versa for me. lol But anyway in re 2 she thought she was going to die she didn't have to save Leon she did cuz she care about him. Ok let's say other then risking herself multiple times in re4 trying to help Leon then giving him a ways of escaping when she didn't have to remotely. Ada can't know that they are going to meet up again and again. If she really needed too she would just get someone new thats what she did before. Ada keeps helping because she cares and here's hoping that the games stop in this game. It's a game of cat and mouse which got more interesting now that they both are spys and are heavily skilled.

There is absolutely nothing caring going on between them two, man. That's what the fanbase cooked up and made it seem. Even if there was, it was very brief. But if you think those small occurrences they had meant something alright.

Dude capcom came up with not it fan base. If you want to say that Chris and Jill is fanbase or Leon and Claire i'm with ya that's total fanbase but when the characters themselves show it that's fact. There are more then enough examples of this in the series if you can't see that, then you can't oh well.

--- I dont....I just think hes had enough and has been doing some drinking and living the Max Payne life style for awhile now and just doesnt give a funk anymore
