either way,BRING BACK ZOMBIES.

Yes! I agree! I want zombies!! I don't mind the Ganados and the Majini, but I like the old school RE zombies more.

Also...my brother brought up a good point. We think it would be kind of cool if there were melee weapons that you can pick up. Not necessarily from enemies, but from your surroundings. That way, if you run out of ammo...you don't have to use a knife. You can grab up that briefcase under the desk and give 'em a good whack or two.

Wouldn't it be cool if the people at Capcom are following this forum? Maybe they might use one or two ideas that we came up over here.

You never know dude.. I might be a secret agent of capcom who wanders in RE forums in order to find some cool ideas.. hehe!

OK here's another one of my super-wow-genius RE ideas:

DINO CRISIS - RESIDENT EVIL CROSSOVER 6

Jill and Chris travel to space(!) to find the remainings of Wesker. They arrive at Mars and instead of Wesker they find a time machine! They enter the machine which leads them to the Dino Crisis world and they meet the Dino Crisis characters. Unfortunately, Nemesis has followed them through the time portal and he starts spreading the T-virus to the dinosaurs! However the T-virus doesn't imply* to them like it does to the rest of the organisms and they become "big-ass monsters" instead. Finally, Rabo(!) arrives with a helicopter and he rescues Jill, Chris and Nemesis from the monsters just before the usual RE explosion!

Isn't this a piece of art?

*imply or apply? I'm not quite sure..

It would be fun if we can use chairs , pipes , broomsticks, chainsaw ,etc like Dead Rising 2.
Also it would be cool if we could drive a car or a motocycle.

So not only we can beat the crap out of the zombies, but we can run them over too. *sigh* I love doing that in GTA...

I was also thinking in gta when i was writing my other post.
Im imagine, if we kill to much zombies, zombie coops would appear to arrest us.

I think that they shouldnt improve more the graphics of the game, because more than 50% of people that bought re5 pc version experienced problems to play the game and during gameplay.

I dont know about the ps3/xbox360 version but the pc version have a feature called nvidia 3d wich allows gamers to use 3d glasses and see the monsters coming out the screen. i think that is nice addition to the re games.

I'm not sure how that ideas would go over with RE fans... most of them are p!ssed off enough as it is with the ganados and the majini, I think they'd have a heart attack if Capcom threw dinosaurs into the mix.

That would be such a sell-out though - probably the biggest in the series yet if it came to pass. You'd know it'd be just to appeal to the many legions of Twilighters and all the other vampire fanatics. I'd be so dissappointed if they went down that route, but I don't think they will.
We have seen zombies, ganados and majinis. Why would vampires be such a sell-out? Vampires are just as unrealistic as zombies.
I'm not getting any ideas from Twilight, I don't know anything whatsoever about Twilight. But I have understood it's a tv series of some kind.

You mean like the fast zombies in Half-Life 2? They are freaky. There are normal and poisonous zombies too.

It's not an issue of vampires being realistic or not. It's the fact that Resident Evil was based on the premise or theme of zombies. It'd be like adding werewolves to a Dino Crisis game. Many people are unhappy with both ganados and majini because they aren't zombies. My problem with having vampires in an RE game is that they would be the cause of an even further detachment from the roots of Resident Evil.

Why I think it would be selling out is because vampires are kind of the 'in' creature/thing right now - on account of Twilight. Everyone is going apesh!t for vampires. If Capcom decided to throw in vampires in an RE game, I'd imagine at least part of the reason why is to appeal to those audiences (which naturally, is the point of creating and distributing anything - to sell as many copies as possible) - thus isolating and ignoring 'classic RE' audiences. As I said, alot of fans who adore the first games feel that Capcom is ignoring their wishes to return to more traditional roots - vampires would only serve to weaken this relationship even further.

Good idea! A staff or a pipe etc. can be leathal weapons.

In GTA, the cops are like zombies already. It's just that they don't look like zombies.

But Resident Evil 6 is going to be a reboot, this means they are creating a totally new game based on new ideas? I'm expecting a bigger change of direction than ever before. So I have no particular expections for RE6, other than it'll be either an action or a horror game, or both. So old school zombies in RE6 would surprise me more than vampires, or werewolfs for that matter.
But it's possible I'm overestimating what a reboot means...

I didn't know Twilight was about vampires. Twilight have not interested me ("just another tv series, blah"), but maybe I'll give it a chance when the series comes to my country x years into the future. I haven't seen nor heard of vampires since Buffy a few years back, haha.
I agree that it would be wrong to follow a trend, instead the new game should create a trend.

incase you have forgotten, the zombies in the RE series are a result of infection.
so that means that they are way more realistic than vampires.

I'm quite certain they said the same thing about RE 5, but I think there's only so much 're-booting' a series can take before it becomes an entirely different game. The very, very original version of RE 4 was an incredible departure from the series that instead of releasing it as a Resident Evil title, they changed it to an entirely new game called 'Devil May Cry'. ;) I think Capcom, despite how different RE 4 and RE 5 are from the series, know where that line is and I think they do know when not to cross it. In my opinion, vampires and werewolves would cross it.

Besides, I don't think that 're-booting' is exclusive to just the enemies. Re-booting can reach just about every aspect of the game from the weapons, inventory, storyline, settings, graphics, etc. Re 5 was marketed as a re-boot of the series, even RE 4, but majini aren't that different from ganado.

If a virus could create zombies, why not vampires or other beings. Or a new creature that we don't have a word for yet.
There are magic zombies and virus zombies. I'm thinking that we could have virus vampires too.

But as I already said, I'm not at all sure vampires is a good idea. But I do like to discuss it.

I had forgot that DMC was meant to be RE4, but now when you say it I think I can recall reading it somewhere before!
You have some good points.

I don't want to disappoint people but I think there are a few reasons which make the return of slow-moving zombies and the old-school RE gameplay an illusion.

I've visited the Capcom website sometimes to see some info about its games. I'm quite sure that there isn't any of the first three resident evil games on its game list, not even code veronica! I mean they could at least mention them since they don't produce them anymore. The only mention was that "Resident evil for Wii is a remake of the original resident evil"! DAH.

Also I just don't see how they will fit the story. Is there going to be another outbreak? Another barricated city and eventually nuked?

Finally, the slow-moving zombies seem to be a farely easy enemy to face. In the original they could only walk. In resident evil 2 they could walk faster when they were near you and in RE 3 they could almost run. Add to this that in RE 3 they were masively and in tigh spaces deployed to balance their speed weakness.

I'm a fan of the orignal REs and I've never played the new ones but this is just how I see it.

Okay so liek.

A doctor dude guy from Umbrella should like do this thing where he like makes teh virus better and makes London infected or sumting like taht.

And yoou play as Mr. Machoman liek in re5. And then ur tihs weak girl that is 17 and shes all like cute and stuffs. And then teh military come and the end.

Quoted for truth. Well said. Slow, shuffling zombies are just that. Slow and shuffling. The Majini were easy to kill and they were agile and coherent...

Personally, I really, really enjoyed RE5 and the way it played and the majority of the enemies. If RE6 uses the same basic engine, I will be pleased (though if they choose to bring the controls into the 21st century, that'd be great...). They could incorporate walking/running and shooting, just make it infinitely less accurate than stopping to shoot.

They can make it darker and scarier if they wish, I'm okay with that too, though I applaud them for completely turning the tables and attempting to make broad daylight scary as opposed to constant darkness of the earlier games.

Finally, I want them to bring Sheva back for another game somewhere down the line. I luv'd her character. Josh was pretty cool as well.

My Ideas:
I think the idea of vampires in a re game sounds pretty cool. However, if I had it my way Wesker would still be alive and be like a vampire (drinking blood, immortal, etc.). I would also love to see crimson heads, hunters, or lickers again. And I actually liked the Ganado, but not the majini (driving vehicles is taking it a little far)
