That is my exact sentiment about the whole thing. I couldn't imagine climbing a fence or diving for cover comfortably in her original outfit. As iconic as RE3 Jill is - she doesn't look like she is about to face a horde of the undead at all.

Now, is the "bland" costume design for the modern Jill well deserved as well? Sure, but it makes sense that someone with her knowledge and training would wear something tactical, but comfortable to get out of any situation possible.

Ada Wong wore a supertight dress in the RE2 remake yet managed to pull off some impressive acrobatic stunts.

It's a video game. Not saying realism isn't appreciated, but sometimes you just have to suspend your disbelief and enjoy it for what it actually is.

I don't really care about Jill's original outfit being completely changed for the remake, my only real issue is the lack of colors and uniqueness. I wish her new tanktop was a bit more blue because now it looks more blue-grayish. I also wish she still had her white jumper somewhere, either wrapped around her waist or actually wearing it.

Jill's original outfit never bothered me either. I always got the impression that she was simply hanging around at home and suddenly had to escape from her apartment without any warning - she didn't have time to play dressup.

Jill knew about the outbreak for at least a week and she stayed in her apartment the whole time, she knew what was out there but she used that outfit anyway

Also if i remember correctly capcom itself admitted that they used that outfit because theh wanted to show her boobs and legs more

Ada always had casual style but jill didn't, it was a bit odd to have that costume in re 3 but i personally like it, it dosent bother me, but the new one is better in my opinion

That's true, but everything we know about Jill being locked up in her apartment is very limited. What you just said is basically all we know, she stayed in her apartment and suddenly she had to escape. That's it, we don't know the details so its really up to the player's imagination.

Ada always had casual style but jill didn't
How do you know? Jill wore her S.T.A.R.S. uniform in RE1, and RE3 was the first time we ever saw her in civilian clothing. Who's to say that Jill doesn't have a casual style? Or maybe she attends dinner parties wearing her S.T.A.R.S. uniform as well, yeah that sounds plausible.

In game jill never used casual style, that's what i mean, every re character have a signature in they re clothing attair, like color or tipe of clothing...

Chris for example always wear green and military outfit, how stupid would it bee to have chris in re 8 wearing a casual outfit? Like short jeans or else

Ada signature Color is red and she always wear casual outfit, it's her signature

Jill on the other hand should have weared a blue rpd outfit or a stars outfit, not a casual outfit that leave visible neck and leg, the first spot that zombie attack

every re character have a signature in they re clothing attair, like color or tipe of clothing...
...And that's exactly what Jill wears in RE3, she wears blue clothing.

Also, Chris didn't wear a green outfit in RE7 so he hasn't "always" been wearing something green. What's the big deal about a character wearing a casual outfit if its relevant to the story? Claire did it in both versions of RE2, and they even gave Leon a casual outfit for the first part of RE2 remake. For example, if Chris gets kidnapped in RE8 while wearing casual clothes and that's relevant to the story, then so be it.

There are many plausible reasons as to why Jill doesn't wear her S.T.A.R.S. uniform in RE3. Firstly because, well, she's in her civilian clothing and was caught by surprise when she had to break out of her apartment. Even in this remake, she wears civilian clothing because of that same reason. Most importantly, she's off duty because she's been suspended from the police force by Chief Irons. If you're suspended, you're not going to be wearing your uniform. Most likely her uniform has been confiscated by Irons.

Chris in re 7 didn't wear green but at least wear a military outfit

Jill wearing that costume simply make no sense, even if she was suspended she could have used a different outfit, a longer jeans, and a longer jacket, you don't put that kind of outfit in a zombie apocalypse, it's stupid as hell... Also zombie aren't the only problem, She could have died of cold in the first place, leon in re 2 use a casual outfit but at least is a good outfit for the kind of water present in raccon city, and leon didn't know about the outbreak

Claire in re 2 didn't know about the outbreak either

Capcom just wanted to shore her boobs more

Complaining about her original outfit is like complaining about superheroes' tight spandex outfits that hug their muscles so they can fight crime. Big f*cking deal. It's meant to be flashy so they can stand out. Obviously, they're trying to be more grounded with the series now which is why they redesigned Leon and Claire and even gave Chris a generic ass black outfit in RE7, but there was nothing wrong with Jill's original outfit.

That was in comic like more than 50 years ago, i don't see this in recent superhero movie nor did i saw it in in the 90s

Pick up a comic.
As far as i know comic book hero didn't wear spandex costume, even if they look like spandex theu are all made whit special material to survive difficult situation, my comic book Knowledge is very limited by the way

Also i don't see what this have to do whit jill going around naked in a zombie apocalypse

For the record i never complained about jill outfit, but it's simply non real and capcom wanted to sell more copies by putting her boobs more visible

Well then, Jill has a magic skirt and tube top that protects her from zombie bites. Problem solved.

It was pretty self-explanatory.

Also, why do boobs offend you? You keep bringing up her boobs a lot like if they were even shown or like if it's somehow upsetting. Now she was naked according to you. What's your problem exactly?

I love how everyone just expects Jill to look like Julia Voth all the time.

I don't. When Voth was first introduced as Jill I thought she doesn't look like the Jill we know. She was a good Jill, though, and seems to enjoy being Jill on conventions. I don't mind the new Jill. I can understand the decision to once again change a main character's face model. Leon, Claire and Chris have all been "updated" to 2015+ beauty standards, while Voth is what I'd call "old-school pretty".

In fact, the only really consistent characters have been Leon and Chris, they both had at least two games and a CGI movie with the same face. The REV2 Claire was Claire enough to be recognizable, but didn't necessarily look like an aged CV:X Claire. Ada has been drawn through a lot of changes and the RE2 Remake Ada does not resemble the original RE2 Ada at all, neither in appearance nor in character.

Ahahaha boobs dosent offend me, i was only quoting capcom...

What is really offendend here is my intelligence since jill wear a stupid clothe that put her almost naked in a dangerous situation and capcom wanted to think us it was normal, bur they used that outfit to sell more, and simply disrespect jill character

And what's you problem exactly? You feel offended by my posts?

Just kidding dude

Right, Jill was disrespected with all those stupid outfits, there's no way with being so demeaned and disrespected that she could have 20 years worth of loving female fans who cosplayed that outfit to conventions or 20 years worth of lovingly crafted fan art.

Also, almost naked in a dangerous situation?
It's not like a certain Barbarian played by a certain Austrian body builder had a problem fighting real non undead humans and monsters wearing only leather underpants.
Or a certain Spartan slaughtering the entire Olympian Pantheon shirtless.

Only men get to feel empowered going into battle wearing almost nothing.

The difference is that Kratos is a Greek god and can stand naked against a whole ord of enemies and zombie and coldness environments because he has superhuman power , and that kind of outfit were used by Greek people in Greek mitology, conan is a barbarian and barbarian did wear that outfit in they mitology it's part of the whole design

Jill on the other hand is facing zombie in a cold city in 1998 and that outfit simply didn't make sense and it's stupid, they just want to show her body to sell more copy, this is actually disrespectful if you think about it
They even use it in the parchinko slot and the camera even emphasize jill body and let her fall every time Whitout any reason but just to have people spending they're money to see hee body shaking

I don't really give a **** about it actually, but that jill costume was simply stupid, if everyone want to defend it until thr end finding stupid reason to why jill could have weared that clothe, than fine i don't really care, and this conversation is going to long for no reason, putting superhero, greek and barbarian in the middle whitout really a sense

Nevermind that all those characters taking on those odds is unrealistic in of itself, but those damn skimpy outfits, that's what's intellectually insulting here. Jill is only capable of defeating a city of the undead in proper survival gear. A tank top and pants.

Just because you don't get it doesn't mean everyone else is stupid.

Where did i write that other people are stupid sorry?
I simply say that jill costume is stupid and the explanation to her having it are stupid

I never called anyone else stupid like you did

You implied as much. Just because you are lost on what people are saying, doesn't mean it's stupid or senseless.
