Ever been banned?

Then is there a reason DMC has more raging fans than REN? Besides the demonic bloodlust of course...

Upon a glimpse at DMC i've come to believe their frustration and rage stems from their inability to come to terms with their own feelings and sexuality...hence why they like to play as a gun totting half man half demon slayer type thing...

Unlike us Residents, who are totally at ease with ourselves and the fact that the end is nigh at some point..

I got banned from my own forum I created on proboards... Why? Because I let a super-mod join from a certain website who already hated me. (and couldn't ban me from the site because I didn't break the rules and was a favorite there.) I idiotically let her be another admin because I was in nursing school at the time and couldn't watch the thread 24/7. When I got back she had booted me from my admin position and apparently had banned me because once I got there, instead of my pretty banner being on the site was a note telling me to F off essentially. Awesome right?

The staff here usually give as good as they get too, which has an effect on how often bannings take place. Different staff do things in different ways - what's not ban-worthy on this board may be too much for another. You'll see more bans on DMC, for example, than here because there people are much more likely to rage, get nasty and be oversensitive about stuff - so we moderate accordingly. But REN is pretty cool and I think the staff react accordingly to that atmosphere.

This, and the fact that, let's face it - people are hoping that I'll eventually put out if they're on their best behaviour.

I've not been banned from anywhere, quite lucky because I've said some bad things in some places... Nothing major but Yano, whatever happens happens. I think it's easy to spot when something is getting heated. It's being able to defuse the situation in a controlled manner sensibly that's a good skill, something I've noticed from being a member of this board, a slightly inactive member nowadays but I try.

Good grief. I'm sorry this happened to you. Had it happened to me, I'd punch a hole through my monitor.

As far as being banned, I've been banned from one or two Doom 3 servers before, although I don't remember why.

Probably for camping with a rocket launcher.

I've never been banned anywhere. I try to treat other people like I want to be treated and I don't get problems that way.

I've been banned from a few gaming servers for being a 'suspected hacker,' even though I really wasn't one. Otherwise, where message boards and the like are concerned, I'm on my best behaviour and don't really tend to get in any major trouble.

Without hacking, what can you do to be suspected for being a hacker? Kicking too much ass in the game, is that it?

I mean...You guys seem really lax...I've been here for over a year, but I've noticed few bannings...Maybe I just don't notice things, but you guys don't ban much do ya...This is the first forum I've ever been on, so I really can't speak with experience...

We don't ban often, but banned accounts don't visibly change status so here are more banned accounts than you know about.

Not that much. There are only a very small handful of regular members who have been banned. I think we've banned one active member - two at most - in the last year. One or two people have come close. Nearly everyone else are just bots who advertise and get instant bans.

i once got banned from one of the more popular final fantasy forums, due to the fact the admin team, were all under the age of 15, god knows how this ended up happening, big mistake in my eyes, but whatever, they had this team, and it was more like a nazi camp, if you didn't agree with them that was it..i went in there guns blazing and got banned for having an opinion.

Anyway, I occasionally get banned from game servers. Especially in those Garrys Mod RP servers. Those guys really don't allow fun...

Never played Crysis but total coincidence if the case.

People still play Garry's Mod? I remember i stopped because no one had the free version or public servers stopped supporting it.. Pfft

Me? Banned? From what ya'll have seen of me, do you honestly think I've ever been banned? I try my best to be nothing but respectful to everyone..unless given a reason not to be. I would never fly off the handle enough to get myself banned. I do, however, have this uncanny ability to bring someone to their knees without sounding like a complete bitch lmao

The only active member that I can think of is Neptune. It's like someone flipped a switch one day and turned him into a complete d-bag.
