Conspiracy Theories...

As you guys may have noticed from my post on Subliminal Messages, I'm quite fond of Conspiracy Theories...
I have created this thread for you guys to share some of your favorites and discuss what others have posted about Conspiracy Theories THEY believe...That being said, and I think it goes without asking, please be mindful of all peoples views in this thread...

I leave you with this final warning...Careful what you post, for the government is watching...Everything...

My personal Conspiracy Theory that I believe...
World War II started in 1939 (Though not officially dubbed World War II yet), with many countries being involved...My homeland, the US of A however, was not...We didn't enter the war until 1943 even though we KNEW the holocaust was going on...My theory, the people didn't want to go to war again, we were in the middle of the Great Depression, and in a way, still recovering from World War I...But the government DID want to go to war, so the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor was staged to get American's riled up to go to war, also, to create jobs creating weapons for war and such to pull us out of the Great Depression...

I hate conspiracy theories and militant conspiracy theorists who think everything is a conspiracy annoy the crap out of me. I'm not saying that they're all false and indeed some have turned out to be true, but some people take them way too far and way too seriously.

Case it point, as I've mentioned here - why the Titanic sank. I've been hearing that the Earth was the closest to the moon as its ever been in 1400 years and that effected the gravitational pull of the iceberg towards the Titanic, the tides were different, White Star swapped it for the Olympic and intentionally sank it for the insurance pay off, the Mirage effect, blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Here's my theory - it hit a frickin' iceberg. It hurt the iceberg because it was going too fast and the wireless operator told the Californian to shut up after being warned of ice.

Sometimes, it's like theorists will look in every nook and cranny for a possible explanation for something - when often the answer is right in front of their face. But people are drawn to drama.

My neighbour is a huge conspiracy theorist. Spends insane amounts of time absorbing every word that David Icke has to say - and to me, Mr. Icke is barking mad.

I'm too siple to get stuck into all that. It can be interesting from time to time to see what people think but I tend to keep out of it unless I think they are really being bonkers.

Does anyone remember when Youtube decided to delete all the non-active user accounts? Lots of channels lost a bunch of subscribers on account of it. There's this guy called Alex Jones, big online conspiracy theorist - thinks EVERYTHING is a conspiracy, who ranted and raved because he thought it was a conspiracy by Youtube against him and only him. It's like, hey there Mr. Crazy Pants - EVERYONE lost tones of subscribers.

Maybe if more of them were less kooky, I could take these people seriously.

I heard that there is this person named Meg who is trying to take over the world by using her awesomeness as a way of controlling people.

I used to be into a bit of conspiracy theory (lolomg secret men controlling the world and gunna kill us all rofl).

Strayed away from that now.Alot of things would be nice to believe but ultimately superstition triumpths around places we don't have answers yet. So it is nice to ponder some theories and let your imagination run wild for a bit..but ultimately i wouldn't cling on to any of them.Like aliens building pyramids.. or maybe it was just human beings working ridiculously hard for some dicks. Seems to be the pattern throughout history.

I always thought that no one outside of the Nazi occupied countries had any idea about the Holocaust until Russian/US troops started invading them and stumbled on those camps.

You made sense until the very last sentence, unless you meant that only politicians could possibly think that war can save economies.

A conspiracy theory I myself subscribe to is that the Federal Reserve was the main cause of both The Great Depression and the current recession, through manipulating interest rates and printing money (always keep in mind that paper money is not wealth, only a representation of wealth. If you have half a glass of pop, you can't create more pop just by filling the other half of the glass with water. It'll just taste like sh*t) and that these crashes were used as justification for expanding the government's powers.

So then do you guys have any idea about the Illuminati...
'Ts cooooool.

Edit: I hope this isn't too much of a necro-post. :(

I like this theory. ;)

@ KennedyKiller - That's an interesting theory, and it may very well be true. I have my own belief that the government deals with a hidden hand in many ways. I mean how could they not? Even people who have worked for the government before have come out and said such things. Besides, why couldn't it be true? Anything is possible.

The Titantic theory is wayyy out there...no way I buy that one.

I've often thought about the 9/11 stuff though. Well not so much anymore, but before I would think about it alot. I wanted to join the army and fight the war on terror myself, but if I'm being brutally honest here...I refused to fight for something I don't believe to be true. Or atleast something I'm not properly informed about. It just seemed like everyone was pointing fingers at someone, and Afghanistan got blamed. Not that they're angels...but something didn't feel right. Also, I met many people who joined the war for all the wrong reasons it seemed. Then they'd tell me these awful stories about how they tortured people and whatnot. I was disgusted and as a human being, felt helpless. Because real innocent people are dragged into this, when they don't share the same mentality as the "terrorists."

There's this great website called VigilantCiitzen and it has a sister site named Arcana(?) I think? This guy who goes by vigilant dedicates his time to deciphering symbols and subliminal messages from the entertainment business to monuments all over the world. They're fascinating to read and make you wonder and think about things in a different light. A more disturbing one at that. Not sure what to believe, though no question - some of these things exist wether we choose to believe or not. It's a mad world I tell ya!

Don't waste too much time entertaining conspiracy theories. Better to take the facts and form your own opinion, THEN weigh it against the opinions of others. Bit of advice: the more outlandish their claims are, the less they are likely to be worth entertaining. It seems obvious, but I've found conspiracy theorists and believers in them tend to do the exact opposite.

Roughly my attitude:

Being a lover of Psychology i enjoyed walking down Conspiri-street. To me, it's nothing more than Conspira-tainment and Conspira-noia.

Zeitgeist is the best example of this phenomenom.

David Icke, is a ranting mad man who changes his colours every now and then so he doesn't get snagged on any one subject, and when called out, he just says he's changed his mind and those previous thoughts were part of his quest for knowledge....He has skills in using hypnotic speech patterns and likes to use imagery to keep your mind focused ( distracted ) whilst he weaves his words in and out your ears.

Michael Tsarion, has a deep back ground in the occult, with Tarot and divination...Runs many websites offering many services and products at high prices, and generaly works from the idea that mankind was invented by aliens, and everything comes from Ireland. His work in Psychology, isn't upto scratch, although he asks the right questions, he just makes up his own awnsers despite the facts.

David Wilcock......believes he's the second coming of Edgar Cayce...........yea moving on.

A.Jones... Is well backed, well scripted and like the above three, is making a very healthy living from other peoples ignorance/fears.

Jordan Maxwell.. is considered the grandfather of the modern Conspiracy movement, so if anybody is interested in getting to know this stuff, Maxwell is the best place to start, from him, you can follow the **** stains through the timeline. To Jordan, the Free Masons are to blame for everything, and he himself, has been sent by aliens/higher beings to tell us all about it.

I found this,

^ He's a great example of this ( movement ) Look at his unblinking sttempt at a hypnotic stare, and note his slow speech pattern..combine that with the seemingly laid back tone of voice, he tries to come across as higher, or better than everyone else.

After a little bit of attention, and some money, his true materialist self is uncovered in this video,

And again, here is our savoir to the universe keeping a low key profile and just going about spreading truth in a non flashy attention seeking way.

These people, first and foremost make serious cash from this branch of the human psyche.

I have to say i enjoyed my time researching these wing nuts, but its a pity there is no truth in their words, other than that, a fool is easily parted from his money.

You're from the US right? It's a proven FACT that World War II is was pulled us out of the Great Depression..Our greatest economic crisis of all time...

The Great Depression went on for over a decade despite FDR's New Deal programs, and the country was in massive debt to boot. The only difference between economic conditions in the Depression and World War II is that unemployment rates were way down because of government investment in weapons, equipment, and other war-stuff.
...as in, nothing that benefits the consumers, and only benefits special interests.
What would happen to all those employed by the military-industrial complex once the war ended? Is the government supposed to keep running massive deficits just to keep giving more money to bomb makers, and keep fighting just to keep thousands of soldiers occupied and not come home unemployed?
Well, that's not what happened. When the war finally ended, military spending was slashed by 75%, taxes were lowered slightly, and yet unemployment was only at 3.5% until 1948. THAT'S what ended the Great Depression.

This method is also what got the country out of the 1920 recession. SPENDING cuts, not just lower taxes.

Unfortunately, thanks to the two-party monopoly, we're stuck with lower taxes (Republicans) and

But would any of that have ever happened if not for the second World War?
