My point was that there is no rational reason why any one person would need six copies of the same game. There are more practical - more worthwhile - ways to spend money rather than indulging oneself on things so utterly, utterly useless. In my opinion, why not just have a money-burning party while your at it?We shouldn't point fingers and say that he should have gave more to charity though, for all we know he's perhaps a generous person. Perhaps he does not waste money on other things like beer, cars etc. The point is we don't know.
That's true, it can't be any rational reasons. That person is just obsessed but I don't think it's right to criticize him/her for it.La Femme Fatale;63523 said:

I'm going to have to stick with my convictions here. I'm sorry if I come across as a judgmental ****, but (imo) there is nothing even remotely impressive about these collections. I know these collections are supposed to impress - but in all honesty it just disturbs me. Perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to criticize, but I've never been particularly skilled at keeping my trap shut. :ermm:That person is just obsessed but I don't think it's right to criticize him/her for it.
I’m a bit confused why it came across that I was judging any other person’s collection but the one I referenced, as that was not my intention and quite frankly I had no intention to even go there. Why would you judge one collector more critically that others?
Well, I suppose this is where our values differ. While yes, people have the right to do whatever the **** they want with the money they earn, financial practicality is important for me, personally. I believe in spending money mindfully and never in excess on indulgent items. That’s simply how I was raised. Ever since I moved out, I’ve had to pour out hundreds of dollars a month on mortgage, car insurance, taxes, gas, tuition (which, is only doomed to hike up once I hit law school), parking, books, hydro, maintenance fees and there have been times where I barely have enough cash left over for groceries... So yes, to see someone throw down a couple hundred of dollars on six versions of what is essentially the same product does irk me. Perhaps I’m just jealous because I am not in a position to carelessly indulge as they do, I don’t know.I am a firm believer in being able to do whatever you want with the money you earn, be it stamps, coins, porn magazines, cars, whatever.

We don't know his intentions, and considering the fact that he hasn't posted in about a year I don't think we will find it out either. In my opinion, it all comes down to one thing: People are crazy. Yes, its crazy to buy 6 copies of the same game or 52 of the same album, but again, I believe that they are completely entitled to spend their money as they wish, and its not my place to tell them that they should spend it elsewhere.

I only started playing Resident Evil when I bought the third Nemesis game for the PC. Since then I've been enjoying most Resident Evil stuffs. But I particularly love the collectible product the most. Here are few shots of my Resident Evil toy I bought few years ago, and in the future I'll be uploading most recent ones.
Thanks for looking.
