Theres an anti viral called tami flu, which suppresses the symptons i do believe? I may not br spot on with that though. And since its a flu, yes plenty of bed rest is necessary i would imagine.

Yep.
I had TamiFlu for the actual flu.

For some reason, I was fine with the Tamiflu.
Some people might have different reactions to it.

But because I have glandular fever as well, it would be for me.

Apparently they have like full on cures but they wanna save the stuff incase something worse happens, like say the swine flu turns/combines into something even stronger.Swine flu isn't even that bad when you compare other major pandemics, but i guess maybe its just in this modern day and age that it really can't be considered powerful.

You had a fever as well?I haven't heard of anyone thats had Swine Flu on its own everyones had some other symptom.By the way anyone know the death toll?Its definately under a 1000 right?I think the whole freak out has died down of now, i never hear swine flu news anymore.

I swear I lived on a diet of low-fat custard during that time lol it was all I could eat

lol yeah custard is good, but living on it solidly for a week gets a little tedious I was like "waaaaaah I can't eat chocolate!!"

Well, I said that in my head because my throat was so dead I could barely speak lol

I have the serious glandular fever, meaning, I have one life of chronic fatigue syndrome/ME and reocurrences =(
But I'm coping with it =)

I spent the week I got it just watching DVDs - it was greeeeeeeat

Other good glandular fever foods aside from custard:
- soup (mmmm leek and potato)
- cream
- ice cream (cos it's cold)
- stew (without too many lumps!)
