What was your most misguided attempt to impress someone you were attracted to?

This one guy that I worked with (who was pretty damn cute) started chatting with me on Facebook, no less, and when he asked me the generic question of "what do you do for fun?" I replied back with some typical answers of going to the movies, the beach, etc. Then I decided to spice the answer up with some humor and told him that I also liked to dress up as a superhero at nights and fight crime... Needless to say he didn't write back... and obviously lacked a sense of humor.

My friend told a boy i liked him... he laughed.... 'nuff said...the next two years she spent playing 'footsie' with him under the table in classes and went for a walk with him on a beach on a field trip... mind you, she didn't fancy him, she just did it to get to me.
IMO friends and crushes should be kept well apart, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Tried to piggy back some girl in a nightclub..it was kind of difficult to get her down.After she nearly broke her face think she was turned off..she was older and should've known better!

At a party there was a girl dancing alone.i don't know what i was doing i went up to her and did some stupid clown dance.Turned around and there is like 50 dudes sitting with "wtf faces" plus ruined any chance to talk to another girl.Slightly embarrassed and oblivious to reality i went back to the table with the others and made sure i would never speak of that again.. until now.

The hell? I've seen what you look like and you're obviously gorgeous, play Resident Evil and have a sense of humor... He must've been gay XD.

I agree! STAR, having those outstanding qualities, could have been protagonist in Resident Evil. Then she would actually have been a superhero too, haha.



My fail with girls was to not be direct enough, she didn't understand I liked her. Soon after she got together with one of my classmates. Happened also the year after. :(

I think me and you are in the same boat then! My cousin hates me too actually now that you brought that up. She definitely tried to throw me under the bus a few times whenever cute guys were around.

XD I'm down with that!

I used to be really bad with not being direct and shy with people too, still have my moments even. But I try to keep in mind that you only live once so why not flirt or even ask the other person out? At least you can say you tried if they do end up telling you no or seem like they start pushing you away. Brush it off and move onto the NEXT.

LOL that is so much win. I would have liked it if a woman did that to me, even if I didn't like her or know her, I'd still appreciated the stunt if it was done with humor. :D

This is more pathetic than it is embarrassing. I took Spanish instead of French (I was planning on taking French) just to be in the same class as the person I liked. :rolleyes:
 
I quit drugs to impress someone at work, it didnt work... I never told her she was the reason either I just quit because I thought she was a nice girl. When it got down to it I never made a move, so she started ignoring me. but I feel much better nowadays. it crushed me though I felt crap for months, in the end she said she wasnt looking for a relationship and we can just be friends, well ... that's her and her fella haha, so yeah.

Ever get that feeling someones being really nice to you but everything they tell you is a obvious lie, because its going agasint whatever they said 5 seconds ago.. *shrug* As long as she is happy.

future advice to anyone who likes a girl and you know she likes you, make a move sooner rarther then later!! and go for that epic kiss otherwise "cheer up, it might never happen" xD

Wow... Yeah I've had my fair share of that but when I stopped a guy from doing drugs I was in it for keeps. Alot of girls like guys that are confident and you mentioned you never made a move.. Then again I can't talk whenever I made a move it was already too late haha. But anyways you seem like a handsome, decent guy so there's someone out of 6 billion people that likes you =]

That's not the worst story I've heard... My friend went 2000 miles to see a girl he liked... Only to find out that she had a boyfriend *facepalm*
