Feel free to bump old topics if you have anything of value to add to the topic. There are no absolute rules on bumping topics, the most important is to use common sense.
It matters what kind of topic it is:
If it is a debate topic that hasn't been posted in for a long time, then you should be more careful and think it over if your post really is going to be useful. And especially do not try to reply to and debate with members that are no longer active.
If it's a topic that was not started in order to debate something then it's even less harm in bumping it, especially game threads. A game topic does not get "old" in the same way as discussions do. Thus, they tend to stay on topic and not lead to problems regardless of how old they are.
Flamex' post was on topic and in the context of this game topic, his post was no doubt "of value" as well.
