Screen Rant: Milla dishes the scoop on Retribution plot and characters

Carlos, James and Rain were all characters with potential that really didn't deserve to die like that. Would have added to the movies a lot of spectacle and value. Also L.J., who added the humor factor. William Birkin was portrayed shortly in flashbacks and would've played a major role but was cut off. Together with Sam Isaacs, who I think would have portrayed better Wesker - height, looks, voice and acting just fit.

Lol yeah you're probably right.. Umbrella is crazy though, I can't wait to see whats up.

I did think of that though, and why use flashbacks that you've refilmed, costing you more money, when you can just use flashbacks from previous movies...I mean, Alice can't exactly have a flashback of something she wasn't present for, so anything about those characters when she wasn't there would be sorta pointless...I'm not sayin you're wrong, but i think flashbacks done that way would be a foolish idea, assuming that's how the're doing it...
 
They don't necessarily need to be Milla's flashbacks. They could be purely for the audience's sake. Maybe some pre Resident Evil (2002) stuff going deeper into the commando unit and their specific ties to Umbrella and/or Alice; something that wasn't shown in the first film. I can't imagine that flashbacks would simply go back to the first film because then they WOULD be using stock footage. It's something else. Can't say what, but it almost needs to be a flashback (as One was chopped to pieces-its plausible for Umbrella to bring Rain back I suppose, but I'd put my money on it being impossible to being One back to present time).
 
Right, I don't really like the films, but with these characters... I'm sure as hell going to watch this!
 
Here's the confirmed cast.
Ada Wong has been confirmed also but the actress as of now, not yet. Chris, Claire and K-Mart apparently have been abducted by Umbrella so they won't be in the movie. Also Milla mentioned wanting to do a sixth film with everyone back.

I know, lol. I could see it possibly working if he trimmed them things and did the Leon hair (which they better have that atleast)
 
Contrary to popular belief, I think this guy fits. Jensen Ackles could have proved a better choice, undeniably, but this is the best option at hand.
 
I'll put money on it that this Kevin Durand guy will be playing Barry... and my stomach just turned.

Carlos really shouldn't have died. That's just a spit in the face to the whole Resident Evil series.
