I'm liking the new digs already. I know like every new system theres going to be some kinks to work out, but i thought i'd mention them here. A couple things i've noticed while looking is the qouting graphics cover up some of the first line, and the overlapping of text in some places. But overall i'm happy with the new look :D
 
Glad you're liking the new look! There's still a few kinks to work out but do please share any bugs you find and I'll get 'em sorted as soon as. Which quote graphics are you referring to? And where does text overlap? I'll get on top of those right away after I hear from you. :)
 
Hi Steve, it's nice seeing you again. It's been a long time now.

Angel informed us about the change some weeks ago. At first I was very unhappy with a change because I liked vBulletin, and I did not like the look of Fable after the change. But Angel explained the problems you had with vBulletin, and I understood the change was necessary, although I didn't look forward to it. But I learned more and more about the bad policies of Internet Brands, and I became more and more positive to the change. I would not want to have anything to do with Jelsoft after Internet Brands acquired it. But as a user I still liked their product, vBulletin, as software.

The new REN is looking nice, much better than Fable or any other XenForo forum I saw. I still have mixed feelings, but the new software is growing on me. I'm not against the change.


Some issues and questions:

1) Many buttons that has text on them, are almost impossible to read. The buttons are grey and the font is light grey. More contrast is needed.
2) This is my first post after the change, and where are the formatting tools? If I want to use BB code, there's no buttons to click. I'll have to resort to memory and manually type all BB code I need.
3) Are all moderator options/tools in working order, or is more going to be added?
4) The threads seems to be in random order. I can't find the thread you started here a couple days ago, where you announced the change to take place this week.
5) Is the reputation points lost?
6) Slowness. The forum is running very slow, and I think it's caused by heavy js. Everything I do that involves a js takes an awful lot of time. My single core 800 MHz CPU ran vBulletin like a dream, but it struggles with XenForo.
7) Linked slowness. Some of the slowness is caused by Twitter and Facebook, I see that my browser is waiting everytime content from those sites have to be downloaded (I think it's the "share" buttons). This I can fix myself by tuning a filter on my end, but the average user may not have the knowledge to do that if they experience the same.
8) I wish we could have the old smilies back. They look more simple and cute.
9) Spoiler tags in signatures are not working, I guess they have to be installed again.

I have just one question! And it may be a stupid one, but anyways - I wanted to know if we can still change our custom titles? I've looked everywhere on my profile and can't find the option. If the option is still available, then I'm probably overlooking it...
 
I think it looks uber fabulous, Steve! I guess my only real concern is that we seem to have lost quite a number of threads and they appear to be in random order as Romero pointed out, but other than that it looks awesome.
 
The new look is good but as someone else pointed out the major problem is the lose of the threads.

ALL my threads are gone not to mention the fact that the RE6 section is now completely empty.

We now have something called status, I guess it's the same thing?

BB code are the tags we use to format our posts, make italics, color etc. And yes it can be Bowie's Bulge as well, lol.
 
I would assume status is where you just update your mood,what you are doing, or thoughts so i'd have to say the 2 are not similar.
 
When I first got on here, I thought I hit the wrong thing :confused:
After hitting "Refresh" a couple times, I realized you guys changed stuff! lol. I MIGHT like it, I know I'm def. gonna have to get used to it. I'm confused about the threads though, is that going to be fixed? As alot of peoples have mentioned, they arent in order (I just thought the ones with the lower amount of responses were deleted :eek:)
Oh yeah! I noticed the "Spoiler" part isnt working, does that mean we're going to have to edit our sigs? Just wondering.
