Doesnt sounds very fair to me. i bought the 'normal' edition, and now suddenly i have to buy the whole game AGAIN just to play one extra chapter??? WTF, couldnt they give it to us as DLC or something? If they do bring the Alternative Edition as one whole edition, can't they give People who already bought the normal edition something else, like exclusive DLC? I think Capcom realy cheated on us, and that this isnt very fair. but what do you guys think?

Capcom can do whatever they want. They are, after all, a business, and businesses make money. Either way, I will still be buying it.

They could not put a new chapter as dlc because there wasnt enough space to put on as Dlc so he hadda put it as the Directors Cut

I know. so DLC is not an option. still, maybe they can give RE5 owners something else.

you DONT have to buy the new edition, since its probably not worth it anyway

you don't know how much i like Jill... and no i don't HAVE to, but i just think its very ignoing that i can't play that chapter. Directer cut's and Special editions mostly include just a 'behind the scene's' video or an exclusife character. it's fair enought that they are exclusife. but one WHOLE chapter that adds Jill's story to the game and if you just bought the game to quick you have to buy the whole game again just because they didnt added Jill's story to it when they brought out RE5. Anyway, this isnt about me. it's about what you guys think.

First of all, it's not Capcoms fault, they didn't know until the game was mostly finished. They were surprised by the trailer (RE team made the game without telling Capcom).
Then,it's not very important, the coolest part is that it's a mansion like the Remake mansion (in the RE5 flashbacks, it looked really different from the REmake mansion). And probably the only enemy in the whole game is Wesker.
I won't buy that game, it's not worth buying, unless you REALLY want to see the mansion again, or play as Jill, or fight Wesker.
(:rolleyes:I'll wait untill someone uploads the playthroughs in youtube)

EDIT:
Capcom wants to know how YOU want your Resident Evil 5 Alternate Edition served!

Capcom Unity just put up a blog post feat. a poll, asking for Community Members to voice their opinion on whether or not they want Resident Evil 5 - Alternate Edition as a physical release on disc, or if a DLC solution would "do the trick."
Hop on over to Capcom Unity and let yourself be heard on the matter.Click to Continue

Yeah I dont think there will be enemies persay but your probably going to need ammo for puzzles but I wouldnt know :/ and since all the content you will have from the original will be saved onto it then I might as well sell my Re5 and just get that

It is definitly not fair. They should at least give us that as DLC for what they did to versus. Versus was not worth the money in my opinion so they should make it DLC.

Hopefully they can make some changes and make it to where it would be DLC and put it on a disk, but still let us buy it from the marketplace. I mean Epic games did it with Gears of War 2, so why no let CAPCOM do it with RE5.

If they don't make it as DLC then I may have to stay away from RE5 for a long time. I mean buying the game again is stupid. I have alot of things Ion RE5 that I don't want to loose mostly infinite weapons. Otherwise it would be a cluster f**k if they don't put it as DLC.

They should give it for free. The fans are the ones who support and buy there games on the first day of release, without them they'd have no damn game to make money off they shouldn't be taking them on.

Yeah gears 2 had it right i got the all fronts for 1600 MS points, you got 19 maps and an extra deleted chapter,if people bought the maps already you could get the 7 new maps and a new chapter for 600 MS points(i think).DLC is fair enough but i can see them selling it for 800MS points or something ridiculous. They were selling the Verses mode to people about 3 weeks after release....it was already on the disk but you had to pay to unlock it.Pathetic sly c****.

Releasing it both as DLC and a new CD would probably be the fairest decision. Having it as a DLC would make all Resident Evil 5 owners(both PS3 and Xbox360 alike) contented, seeing as though the majority(maybe, but I guess so) of Xbox360 and PS3 owners have the game.

As for a new CD, it'll contribute to the ones who might want to play the game, or people who don't own RE5 yet, hence, the newcomers can experience the whole game without the need to download the expansions. ;)

Again, They can not put it on the DLC because its to much of a download to put on a DLC pack so therefore they needed to put it on the directors cut

Exactly. I mean a whole lot of companies did it. For example Epic, Turn 10, Bethesda, and Bio Ware. Mostly Bethesda, I mean they had at least 15 DLCs or less on Oblivion and they had all of them as DLC and on a disk. I mean a 2 DLCs on RE5 and only 1 of them is only going to disk and the other is not. That is 100% unfair.

Capcom if you are reading this please but the next DLC on the marketplace as a DLC and not only to a disk. We can't afford it. And Capcom if you think that it can't fit on as DLC then you are wrong. Just look at Oblivion capcom, they added so much DLC and it took most of my hardrive up. So put it as DLC and on a disk. But if you have to put it on a disk make it to where the disk only has the DLC and nothing else, Bethesda did it with Fallout 3 and so can you Capcom.

Err... cut it into parts and let them download it part by part! lol.

Or that and if they release it like that at least 20ms or 20 whatever PS3 points are called for each part.

I think they've already decided to release it both as a CD and a DLC, based from a Youtube comment. Though, I remain to be skeptical until I see the words from Capcom themselves. =/

That is right. Never trust a comment unless it is proven real.
