I fought them every time. On my third solo I wiped out all of them and they stopped coming. I love doing this with my partner. Him and I pwn like a plague swept through the sands. Wiped 'em all out and were wandering around in circles for about three minutes.
If you have a fair amount of shotgun rounds and good handgun aim, you're set. -Or in my friend's case, a badass shot with a sniper rifle and an MP5. That's really all you need. Seek and destroy. All you need to do is take out the executioner first. He shouldn't be too hard if you have some sort of power weapon though. Hydra at point-blank take him out in two shots, rifle takes a little longer, but he'll go down. Anything else takes a little more skill. I recommend the Merc way. Shoot your way through Majini to the explosive canisters and oil bins and hit the executioner with them as you go. He doesn't move as fast as the others, so you should have little trouble avoiding him, although the occasional screw up isn't uncommon. Sometimes he's on you like white on rice, but that's alright.
