Do we need government?

You're confusing Human peer bonding with hierarchy, nor did i say humans were equal.

I just found the best video ever.
If i could, i'd throw a Pokeball off of Obama's head, and bring him out for my own personal amusement.

On Ron Paul, i've just watched a highlights package on Ron explaining why other countries might have a problem with America after the Army bomb the hell out of a town.

Confused as to why the audience became hostile....it's not that difficult to understand.....

Bomb someones wedding party killing the bride and groom, may **** some people off.

its very different. One allows you to keep your independence, the other dictates it.
No...One allows you the ILLUSION of independence...However, in the end, it's still a system of control...It's just more voluntary in your mind...

Well, if it's a smaller group...There is always gonna be one person who stands out, the alpha male type with the leadership role...And this small group is his kingdom...Very few oppose him, and those that do not only have him to deal with, but his followers...This was how it worked even in the earliest days...This is human nature...So, even if in a small group you obey the leader, and you HAVE to, or else he and his followers make short work of you...

i'm not here to change your mind, but if thats wat you believe then thats what you believe.

Are we seriously going to argue over what is or isn't voluntary?

If I want to trade my shoes for your apples, that's voluntary. If someone points a gun at me and demands my shoes, that's coercion. If you hire someone to point a gun at me in order to force me to trade my shoes for your apples (even if it's rotten and has worms crawling all over it), that's terror.

The last example is a good representation of our current economic system, especially with Obamacare. What better way is there to show big pharmaceutical/insurance companies who's boss, than to... make you buy their service?

To protect the economy from devastation
To unite all peoples within our nation
To renounce the evils of peace and gold
To extend our reach to the stars above

My modern liberal Social Studies teacher always moans about Ron Paul's "isolationist" foreign policy. So when she was explaining to the class how, while it's good that Saddam Hussein is dead, invading Iraq was unjustified and hurt us in the long run, I replied "YOU ISOLATIONIST! :D "
Before lunch, I walked up to her and asked if she got it. Then was like "oh but sometimes we need to get involved for humanitarian reasons like to kill Hitler and Nazi Germany."
I asked her "wasn't it 'humanitarian' to kill Saddam Hussein?" After all, going by her logic, if we're going to devote resources and public funds on 'humanitarian' wars that were started by Democrats, certainly it's okay if Republicans do the same!
I still don't think she got it, because she continued to go on about how bad "isolationism" is and how awesome "humanitarian" wars are.

Well then we part from this conversation on good terms my friend! *Extends hand for shake*

Are we seriously going to argue over what is or isn't voluntary?
We are not arguing...VP and I have a long history of in-depth debates, that NEVER get hateful and ALWAYS end on good terms...

"Arguing", "debating", "discussing", no matter what word you choose, the point is that I don't know how someone can try to spin associations among individuals as somehow coercive or involuntary just because allot of people are part of that association.

Well I'd seriously recommend watching Zeitgeist Moving Forward.. It changed my life and perception. It only came out a year ago and the main video has over 16 million views on youtube now. The most i can do is post the intro which will give you a basic idea of what the main movie is about.
