I guess you're speaking about the movie (there's also a japanese series with that name). It was cool, visually it was very beautiful, but there's nothing new in the story - everything was predictable.

Yes, I do mean the movie.

That failblog thing is hilarious! It's so true. Has some elements of Disney's "A Bug's Life" in it too...

I've not seen it either, quite a few people I know have seen it, and they all say it's a good film. I wonder what version is better because you can watch it with 3D glasses or in 2D lol

Def 3D. There is no other reason to go see it other than to sit in awe at the 3D technology.

If you're going to watch it, watch it in 3D.
The visual graphics were just amazing, and the movie keeps you interested throughout. Definately a must see movie for everyone.

I haven't watched it yet. I saw trailers of it so far and I kinda of liked the way the movie looks.

Plus it is James Cameron's 2nd highest grossing file of all time and the 2nd highest grossing film in the world right now (only to be beaten by James Cameron's Titanic).

Since I really like how James Cameron did Titanic, I can expect this movie to be good when ever I watch it.

I've not watched it, I doubt I will. It's probably OK but I've got so many other films to watch. I don't have time to watch everything.

wow spot on

Anyway, I saw it in 3d the week of release.
Yes, the 3d was amazing and the visual effects were very stunning ect. ect., but I honestly did not expect that it would do as successful as it did. It looked like it would mostly appeal to the niche crowd of sci-fi fans, which it would seem are a dying breed. One interesting thing though, I couldn't remember any of the character's names after the movie was over.

All in all, it was okay, but it just wasn't that interesting to me. Can't believe how much J Cameron is making from this movie, but it doesn't trump Titanic for me. Or Dragonheart.

To be honest avatar is my second favorite movie, only beaten by nightmare before christmas. so it is cool to me

This is not directly related to the movie, but I saw a review on Avatar the game on TV. It got poor critics.

^The avatar game sucks so much. Don't ask, I've tried. =/

At first when I saw this movie, I was like "AWESOME!". But then about a week passed and I was like, meh. I guess the Avatar craze dies down pretty quick. D:

But honestly, the movie was superb. The story, however, is just plain unoriginal.

Yeah it kind of takes away the feeling of it being such an "AMAZING MOVIE EVAAAA!"

Still you could argue that Avatar did it "better" but either way the story is definitely not at all original.

Beautiful designs though. I loved the world that was created... even though it kind of reminded me of something out of the Star Wars films but hey it's still very fun to watch.

I definitely feel that it is an overrated film though, especially those who say that "you gotta see it in 3D!!!" Please. I saw it both in 2D and in 3D and I must say it was just as good- if not better than the 3D version. It wasn't all that different, TBH; only a few things really stood out in 3D, otherwise you're kidding yourself. At least you have 10 extra bucks in your pocket after the 2D.
