Hm, I can't imagine RE4 being divided up that way... unless it was episodic in the way that Revelations 2 was (digitally). RE4 may be a little longer than some of the games in the series, but trying to make a full game out of each section would be really stretching it thin. It's also not really...

Hmm, well in fairness I haven't been following the rumors that closely... Definitely could be true, just seems odd to make a remake of RE4 when RE8 seems to already be retreading similar territory. ...On the other hand, maybe it's easier to do it that way, because they'll both be sharing assets.

After seeing the Resident Evil 8 reveal, my theory is that somebody was mistaken about the RE4 remake, based on the similar setting of the next numbered entry (forest, village, castle... etc).

Resident Evil 4 is a phenomenal game, but it's an enigma. It derailed the franchise, and divided the fanbase. It took Capcom over ten years to bring the series back to its roots, while still appealing to modern gamers. The game's own development cycle spanned multiple scrapped builds, and...

Nice. RE4 does have a very memorable soundtrack, no doubt. I also think it's one of the best games ever (not a rare opinion), and still play the Gamecube version fairly often. Just recently did a Professional Mode/No Merchant run for the first time... and I don't claim to be a pro at the game...

I believe this might actually be an early/alternate version of the "cold sweat" track, which is used during the castle portion... so you may not be too far off there. The two tracks share similarities, but are still fairly distinct... so it's hard to say:
