The value of NOK and US dollars are volatile, but a week ago NOK 6 was equal to USD 1.
We pay income tax, the precentage varies from around 30% to more than 50%. The higher the income, the higher the income tax is.
We pay wealth tax if we have money in the bank or own anything of value, like property. If everything you own is worth one million and you have one million in debt, the net wealth is zero and there's no wealth tax.
Many places have property tax too, it's a local tax on real estate. Any debt is not affecting this tax, the property owner has to pay it regardless of his financial situation. This tax is not collected by the state of Norway, it's a local tax. The local council (municipality) can decide to have or not to have this tax.
