well I'm pretty sure if you examine the bodies it says something like "it looks like they've been torn apart" and also in a later part of the game Billy says I escaped when they attacked so I'm guessing that it was the zombie dogs

RE2 is the easiest of the old ones but if your talking about all of them then RE4/5 are the easiest

I've beaten it over 10 times on easy/regular and pro both, so like a total of like 26 time if i remember right but I haven't played it in the last year cause it got boring. but each time just switch up what weapon i used too
