i've been playing re2 since the time it came out, i'm pretty sure i recall obtaining an s ranking at some point, but maybe i'm crazy and there isn't one?
I don't know. I've tried to get the S ranking. I beat it in under 1:30:00, I didn't use any herbs, special weapons, or gun parts, and I never saved. Iv'e still never gotten an S ranking though. Iv'e only tried with the ps1 version, maybe it will work for gamecube?
it could have something to do with the American/European/Japanese version..
sometimes little things like that can make a difference.
because the japanese version of all RE games are apparently easier.

i was just looking up on this on various message boards, and it seems that it is only on the japanese version, because there S rank is our A rank.

i just beat the game for the first time yesterday, i played both A games for Claire and Leon, i got a D rank with Claire and a C Rank with Leon
I did Claire's A yesterday.

Although I forgot to use the cord in either coridoor so Leon's B they'll both be full. :/
First save was before Sherry getting the club key bit, I just suck at dodging them dogs with her, much easier with the zombies on Claire's B.
Second was because my dinner was ready. xD before getting the vaccine for Sherry.
Not a great run but not a bad one either, for me anyway.

Did another run before, (well, like 2 weeks ago) and got 1:45:08, no saves, A rank.
I think i'll start looking into the knife only department soon.

wow,I haven't played re2 in years.I loved playing as hunk and tofu,did anybody beat that tofu mode.I remember doing a lot of running and dodging and knifing those plants to death.
