According to the Resident Evil wiki, it says Hunk and Nicholai are "rivals" thou this never has been acknowleged in-game. Perhaps the two could have a mini story in between the main story where you play as either Hunk or Nicholai that leads to a fight similar to Krauser vs Leon? Story wise might not make sense but a neat idea imo

Yeah the Resident Evil wiki also claims that Jill is part Japanese which I think is a load of crap. She is clearly 100% American white girl.

The idea of Hunk and Nicholai being rivals is interesting though, kind of like Wesker and Birkin being rivals in RE0.

They are not rivals, the wikis got it wrong. It's Hunk's survival ratio that's rivaled only by Nikolai, they're not competing.

Ah ok, still would be kinda cool to have a interaction between two callus, coldhearted skilled killers in Hunk and Nicolai in a game someday. As for Wesker and Birkin, I never assumed they were rivals, maybe early allies in their umbrella days but chances are Wesker would have used Birkin until he was no longer useful just like everyone else he has been in league with

so its sort of like wikipedia in a way? anyone can change it?
It's exactly like wikipedia.

And according to a file in RE0 Wesker and Birkin were rivals while studying at the Umbrella Research Center but obviously it was a friendky rivalry given how they interacted with each other during the cutscenes. Both of them were pretty evil and even had their own boss Marcus assassinated under Spencer's orders.

hmm ok cool and just as they worked together (briefly) now their kids work together thou for the side of good lol

But between the two, Wesker obviously was much more evil than Birkin since he wanted to become a God and change humanity in his vision, Birkin imo was a company guy that became obsessed with his work which led to him turning himself into a monster and murdering his wife and trying to implant an embryo into his kid, which is evil obviously but nowhere near Wesker level evil

Birkin was also a scientist experimenting on human test subjects (as was his wife Annette) and he used a corrupt police chief to capture and kill anyone whom he felt was a threat to his work.

I think Annette and William were both kind of evil because of this but their one redeeming trait was that they both loved their daughter Sherry (and William couldn't help attacking them because he was turned into a mindless monster).

But i think you're right about Wesker being more evil. He murdered and betrayed a lot of people.

Hunk is guaranteed a return in BH2 remake; removing him is an unnecessary retcon that would essentially rewrite the series' narrative chronology.
