Ever come across a song that nine-year-old you loved, see it and groan a little bit and roll your eyes?
You're so embarrassed that you used to listen to that song. It's cheesy and you never want to admit that you loved it, that you listened to it on repeat.
... But then it keeps playing. And you realise you're still word-perfect. You think back to the summer when you listened to this song in a simpler time. You find yourself singing along and enjoying it. You're getting really into it and and it gets you in the mood for summer again and you get nostalgic. And then you listen to it three times in a row.
Some underrated Canadian mofos.
Basically, they got popular for about five minutes when some disc jockey convinced everyone they were the secret reunion of The Beatles (long story), but after it came out that they weren't everyone up and left, which is a damn shame.
I don't listen to too many video game OSTs (yeah, shoot me), but TheOnlyDeerAlive's cover of "Sonic Boom" from Sonic CD is awesome. It puts Crush 40's cover of the song to shame.
