Capcom won't give us this, they wouldn't even give Mega Man fans the MML3 Prototype demo.

I have the one that was leaked last february. It wasn't supposed to get public and it was too buggy for my liking. Another one was leaked a month ago i believe. Hopefully the team will release their trial version soon. By the way, the team created a facebook page some time ago

Iv'e just been watching the 1.5 video playthrough and noticed some of the music was kept. From the lab in RE2 I believe.
I downloaded there leaked semi finished one, which I took a bunch of pictures of and posted them on my FB. Its fun to run around the different areas but the thing that sucks is that there are some places that just don't work, and hopefully they get something somewaht finished, but I just appreciate them doing it as its fun to run around and wonder what the puzzles and such were gonna be.
If there was one thing that dissappointed me about Resident Evil 2 was when I first read about it in a gamers magazine and saw all the "early" images of it with all those different monsters, weapons, and . . . Elza. I was sooo psyched as the cockroach and ape monster looked ominous and couldnt wait to play it. When it finally came out, I still thoroughly enjoyed the game. However I was like "what about the cockroach and gorilla monster???" and why was Elza switched with Claire?? Not that I held this against the game, but it was a mystery to me. I recently saw all the test footage of the earlier version. I will agree that the graphics, backgrounds and even the zombies looked better than what we got. The cockroach guy turned out to be more of a spider like human creature. The gorilla guy looked just like I remembered from the magazine years back. However as I read through the history, the extra characters, and the differences both versions went through, I can see why Capcom went with the changes we got in RE2. While the idea of RE1.5 was interesting and yes I would love to maybe play it one day. There were too many characters and not enough challenges compared to the first game or RE2 from what I was gathering from it.
There was a reason Capcom didn't release it. They said it was too boring, and the ending was too final.
the "game was to boring" argument doesnt really work in the end
they released resi5 resi6 and revelations, they are way more boring than the beta version of 1.5 combined
as for the ending im sure they could have changed it
but im glad we got the final resident evil 2 in the end, it is an amazing game

Hey, that's just your opinion. 5, 6, and Revelations were amazing to me.

Objectivity, plus Resident Evil 1.5 may seem more exciting because no one has ever completed it. It's an unfinished game, after all. That's why I think Resident Evil 3.5 is interesting, because there's only 6 minutes of footage, and it leaves a lot to the imagination, making it better than it could have been.

The final product we got with RE2 was fantastic so I really never had much interest in 1.5.
Now Resident Evil 3.5 on the other hand, THAT is the game I would LOVE to get my hands on.
Don't get me wrong I loved RE4, but I just felt RE3.5 would have been more intune with its horror roots and thus would have been better IMO.
Thats the difference I see here, I saw 1.5 as inferior to the final product we got with RE2 while with RE3.5 I saw the opposite towards RE4.
I agree RE 1.5 looks worse than RE2 and on the other hand RE 3.5 looks very interesting.
Yeah, it would be nice if Capcom released Resident Evil 1.5, it's story could be set in a parallel universe, that way the canon of the franchise wouldn't be wrecked, since Resident Evil 2, as we all know, is the real sequel of Resident Evil 1.
Some features in Resident Resident Evil 1.5 were, in my opinion, very interesting. Examples:
> The blood of the enemies being splashed in Leon/Elza costumes after they attack/kill them.
>The police station, while not looking iconic as in Resident Evil 2, had an interesting look, it really resemblend a real one, completely diferent from the final game, where it was revealed that the place was reformed and used to be a museum.
>The use of hand grenades, which would only be present in the series way later, with Resident Evil 4.
>Some enemies that never make it to the final game, like Gorillas.
>The greater participation of Marvin Branagh in the story, since in the final game you only meet him two times, in the first he is hurt and not being able to help you, while in the second he turns into a zombie and tries to attack Leon/Claire.
