Through that door, is a seperate reality.
I'm pretty sure you are tooI'm pretty sure you are a man.
No one should dress their child as a whore. Little Miss Sunshine was funny as it was a movie, this is real and its messed up.

Wow! Some times I feel like I come from a different universe!
The video is blocked in my country and because of all the comments here i thought they were molesting the kids or something. Then I watched it on an another site so here's my opinion.
When it comes to appearence what is considered ethical and what not differs from time and place. I remember a teacher of mine telling me how unethical it was having a bath during the middle ages because according to Christianity it was your soul that should be clean and not your body. I also remember a video that it was stating how normal it was in the ancient times for vases, that were displayed publicly, to portray sexual intercourse between people, homosexual or heterosexual.
Obviously, I'm a part of a society with its own rules of morality towards ones image. I don't have a daughter but probably I don't think I would let her do this dancing because of those rules. However, I also try to think that those things are personal for the reasons I explained in the paragraph above and I'm not going to bash anyone for letting his kid act like this. Because for me real immorality comes from your actions towards other people - when you kill, when you steal, when you sexually abuse someone, not from the way you look.
On a side note, one should have seen this happening sooner or later. Kids will always immitate adults.
Also, to clarify it's not like I didn't find this weird, but I do believe there are things which are far worse out there.
However, society today doesn't agree with dressing your child as a whore and sending them out on stage.
Agreed, but this is practically child porn. I see what you mean, and it could be considered normal even.
There are no doubt far worse things going on, but this just so happens to be here as well. Kids (i'm going to assume in most cases) are too young to discern the implications of what they are doing besides just 'dancing in adult clothing'. I think its sad when adults see nothing wrong with this type of exposure even if you dont fully understand why. There is a difference between cute and intentionally transgressive behavior which those in charge of the kids should take note. Planting seeds like "its okay to dress this way" can lead to other very dangerous avenues for those children. Which in my opinion should be heavily guarded against up until a certain age. Lol you'd probably see me as the guy who jumps up on stage and grabs my kid.
Crap, didn't mean to say porn. I don't remember what I was gonna type but it was something along the lines of neglegence. Not that serious though.I think that our society today fails to distinguish nudity from porn. Porn requires some sort of sexual intercourse. All I saw was a bunch of 7-years-old girls showing off their dancing abilities and I have to say they're darn good. Saying that this is porn is like saying nudist people on beaches are a walking porn. And the kids here were not even naked! Seriously, I didn't think of sex at all when I saw it. Only a pedophile would do so but I don't think people are turning pedophile because of a video like this.. Remember it's not a choice.
As for the way they were dancing I believe it takes a lot more than that to take away a child's innocence. Like I said they weren't abused or anything. I'm pretty sure they had a lot of fun dancing just like the crowd cheering for them. I doubt that all of them were pedophiles.
Again I'll agree that the intentions of the producer matter, but I don't think he was thinking of having sex with the children when he was preparing all this. But then again I haven't asked him. Well, whatever.
Edit: I'm not saying that one shouldn't be having a very close look on his children all the time. But the problem for me would be if my children were blindly idolizing someone like Beyonce not a single dance. As long as I would pay close attention to them I'm pretty sure a dance like that wouldn't have hurt them at all.
While i agree it does take alot more to take a childs innocence. I dunno i'm still against the whole thing...it just isnt necessary to dress that way as a youngling. Like it kinda makes me question the producers decision making process. I should clarify that i didnt think it was porn or somehow dirty. I'm more on the unethical side of letting the girls dress like that at such a young age and the psychological problems it may present. More so just as a vindication for the endless circle of rapists, date rapists, pedophiles, and the like versus the more provocative clothing. If that makes any sense lol. A childs mind is a window of opportunity and starts shaping opinions and making decisions very early on. But i could be wrong. If it would were my kid i would definitely decline if i knew they were wearing that if only to teach her class lol
Good to see an honest and sharp opinion on something that doesn't border on the troll/asinine.... I feel robbed of my childhood. Why didn't MY mom dress ME like a whore and force me to practise my sexy dance ten hours a day too? Dammit, I could have had six million views on Youtube by now!
On a serious note, I think kids should be allowed to be kids and I think some people either forget or ignore that and they shouldn't. And let's try to keep the personal jabs to a minimum, thank you my duckies.

There has to be questions asked of the parent's motives and mental frame of mind, as i suspect their children to be under serious pressure, that the brain at such an age hasn't even developed into the stage of reasoning.
Anyways, i could type and type and type on this subject but i'll let it go, and let the dogs chase their tails.
I wasn't looking for your appreciation, and there was nothing underlying about what i said. Nice try thouI dont appreciate your underlying condescension. If it was or wasnt directed toward me.

I hope you got that out your system. Now you see i'm usually one to let things go, for I'm the easy going type. Not alot gets under my skin. But this type of unwarrented arrogance does. And there was underlying condescension in that statement whether you intended it or not. The fact that you like to cap things off at the end of your posts like "Nice try though" makes you think your clever in all reality youre just being an ignorant **** most of the time. Now you'll notice i didnt say you were an ignorant **** because i believe that everyone has the ability to undergo vast changes in thier life giving them the ability to have this thing called HUMILITY, which is hard for some men to do because it requires the subject to allow themselves to be vulnerable. Labeling someone as so gives them justification if not a new light on their behavior, so i tend to state them as 'act as so' rather than 'being one'.
In order to truely be the MAN that you internally desire (which is obvious) virtues such as this are essential not only to your masculinity but your humanity.
The fact that the majority of your posts are anti-american lets me know that you are just as ignorant as a racist and just as judgemental. And no one likes a racist. You may view this post as direct attack against you but in actually we would all like to see you grow up. And while i know you have strict rules on what growing up means...i'm refering to the much broader definition.
I haven't the faintest idea what you are on about, there is no argument here..Forget about it VP-70 & Capcomplicated, I almost got banned for starting a argument *cough* with Angel, Luck had it she was the bigger person and let it go. Those debates just go on and on..
Caps your doing essays and VP your just mocking them lol. ;;>.> I dunno, Opinions dont change all the time, but respect does...?
* Shrugs*Sorry mate xD I thought you was both getting anoyyed at each other so I broke the ice with my... ice breaking stills >.>
