Videogame timer? Give me a break.

Don't be so cruel as to make the game cut off when your kid is in the middle of fighting a hard ass boss that took like 2 hours just to get to with no save point. If your kid won't get off the playstation just punch em in the mouth, don't waste your money. What a useless invention.

I know punching a kid in the mouth is kinda contridicting what I said about being cruel and evil, but the point im trying to make is: Don't waste your money because you're too lazy to discipline your kid all you have to do is take action when they don't do what they tell you, it's not B.O.W research.

Comments and opinions on the matter?

Its just another case of people thinking that throwing money at the problem will make their bad parenting go away.
 
I think its absolutely ridiculous, like you say it all boils down to bad parenting, parents too lazy just to say "come off for 15". Its just a bad move to make some money off people who are too lazy to take control in their own home so they leave it to someone else, in this case technology.
 
I concur. Parenting has come down to parents blaming problems with their children on everything and everyone BUT themselves. So now their issue becomes an issue for everybody else. This device is stupid, plain and simple.
 
Lol thats pretty funny but really the parents should just tell them to harden up and pull the plug.If parents can't even get there kids off a console then thats just so ridiculous and if parents are looking for every little solution through crap devices like this then i don't really blame the kids been acting a bastard.

Parents are ment to be putting fear into you not electronic egg timers lol.
 
I cant see this thing being a massive seller though. Just the odd lazy parents. Wha*s stooping the child just disconnecting the console from this timer and plugging in the normal way- problem solved
 
*hopes my dad doesnt buy this for the computer* oh wait! he cant. Hardrive and monitor are 2 different plugs. and thats all the computer outlet has.
 
Lol, It seems that everyone has the same views on this. Yeah, I thought since it involved the interuption of gaming it was interresting enough to post here.
 
yeah My mom just called me saying that she saw this and that she's thinking of buying it, She's not a bad parent and all that, is just that she works a lot and she barely has control over my gaming hours Only on weekends, and that I'm not responsible blah blah, to be exact yesterday I stayed up until 2 am playing REmake :/ So yeah I don't REALLy blame her but still is cruel and EVIL!.
 
^Well, her not being home is an exceptional reason. Especially if she takes charge over the weekend.

That's why they have these. Anyway, kids should have enough respect or fear to turn off the console when it's time to get off.
 
i think the general idea is, the console goes through this timer, so it doesnt matter if you have spare sockers or not.

I thought consoles already had there own timer, well i'm pretty sure xbox does anyway.

My Parents wouldn't buy this, it wouldn't make any sense. They just could say "Time to get off the game".

If I don't obey they, I can have a week without my PS3. So I don't want to run any Risk.
 
Lol with idiotic things like this, makes me feel good that i'm not a kid anymore, and that i don't get told by parents to get off games etc
