just had to ask who has it/played it/likes it/hates it, its one of those games when you think about it, you think "how boring...or something along those line" but when you play it, it somehow manages to get you addicted, and so wanted to know what peoples views were, especially 3 cuz im downloading it at the moment, and hope im not wasting my time.

so thoughts?

Oh wow, I didn't know that the Sims 3 was even out yet. I have Sims 2 and a couple extention packs and I've played the first one briefly, but you're absolutely right. It is a terribly, terribly boring game, but a terribly addictive one. It's like, you intend to only play for an hour or something, but then an hour becomes two and so on and so forth.

I did love the 'Open for Business' expansion pack, though, that one was neat. But, no, I haven't played 3. And I don't really intend to; I've invested too much in the stupid expansion packs and stuff packs and it takes up way too much space on my comp.

I'm playing it right now :) ,and played Sims 2 quite frequently, had all the expansion packs. It's addictive, but it does get boring after some period :) I mostly concentrate on builing houses cause after all I am a future architect :)

Haha, and I love decorating the houses- we should so start our own Sims 2 'Housing Design and Decor' business, Trinity.

How is Sims 3?

its weird like that..how the idea of it seems so boring, yet you can spend hours on it..
had sims 1 and all the expansions, but had sims 2 on ps2, so wasnt as good, and obviously didnt have any expansions for it, because there wasnt on consoles.

I can't really remember Sims 1 all that well... wasn't there an actual objective in it? Whereas, Sims 2 was more like 'eh, do whatever you want'.

Haha, my sister loves it though. It's really getting kinda irritating though, I swear just to get on my nerves she'll actually refer to sex as 'Woo-Hoo', haha.

haha for the sake of her and everyone around her, i think its best you destroy all her copies, before she stops doing that as a joke, and means it lol.
erm, on consoles, they have a sorta story mode, but onpc, its just freeplay really.

 yeah, but imagine how hard it was for me to think an excuse when my 9 year-old sister asked me what does "Woo-hoo" mean.

Sims 3 are quite nice,a lot of improvements, and a lot same things, just from a better angle.

Playing sims on ps2 sucks.

LMAO. "Well, you see, when two Sims love eachother, they..."

Ah, I gotcha. I played the first on PS1 so that's probably why. I just remember one level where you had to have the room looking pretty or something and then hold a party. It's been so long though since I played it.

Well, it's good to hear that people seem to be enjoying the third. I thought the whole deal with everything taking place simulataneously would cause a few problems.

yeah story mode was very basic like that, your main objective would be something like get a promotion, or throw a "wild" party, so no different to freeplay except you got some sort of reward for what you did.

i don't think that ever really bothered me, alot of the time i found it annoying having to keep a high relationship with a bunch of people cuz there all so needy, and so would get frustrated with more sim friends from different towns

you should only really play console versions if your new to sims, because going from pc version to console is such a step down.

I've always played it on Pc.
Yeah, but in Sims 2 you had Strangetown,I loved it cause you could make a male pregnant.

LOL what??
i never knew that, what else could you do like that

I thought you can make a male pregnant in any of them, well, as long as you have the boolprop cheat so teh aliens can kidnap him.

There's quite a bit of strange things you can do to your sims in that game, haha. Apart from the one Trinity mentioned, you can turn them into zombies, vampires, witches, warewolves, etc...

i never played 2 much on pc, played 1 a hell of alot and as far as i know, males could get pregnant in that, well i didnt play 2 enough to explore everything.

i have sims 2 nightlife for the pc. thats the vampire one.

"Woah, is that guy pale?"
"Become one of my kind.."
