The same exact thing. Working 12+ hours most days. I’m engaged though! So there are good things happening. I’ll probably be leaving the US in about a year or so.
I hate that you're working so hard but I'm happy that you're engaged! Where are you moving to? (My husband and I talk about leaving all the time, we just don't have the funds to do so.)

Me leaving the country is a big reason why I’m working so hard. I’m trying my best to save up. It isn’t easy though.

I’ll be moving to Japan. My fiancé is Japanese. He’s working on coming to stay with me for a few months right now.

We don’t have a set date for anything yet but we’re both working our butts off to make everything happen so. Lol fingers crossed!

Aww well I'm happy for the both of you! I've always wanted to visit Japan, I've heard nothing but good things about it from anyone who has ever went.

And yeah, you're absolutely right about saving up not being easy. It's like every time you get ahead, something smacks you back down to where you were before. It's an uphill battle.

You got that right! It is definitely an uphill battle. I can’t let it get me down though.

I’m really looking forward to moving. I’ve always wanted to go and I guess now I’ll be going and never coming back I’ve always heard really good things too and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me there. There will be a lot of things that require an adjustment period lol but I think I’ll be okay

Learning the language has been quite the challenge I know that much.

But you're learning! Unfortunately I don't think I have the type of brain that allows for more than one language, which stinks because I would love to learn more. I'm not as bad at the on paper stuff, but I suck at actually speaking in a different language.

I kinda wish public schools made it mandatory to at least speak Spanish and use ASL and integrated them into the curriculum. I remember them teaching us tiny snippets of both at a young age but they didn't follow through with it, which stinks because I think it would be super helpful. Once I got to high school where they actually had second language classes, I feel like it was too late and I just could not get it at that point.
