The Giant Croc in RE2

I been wondering, I usually killed the croc with the canister but was it actually possible to shoot it dead or any other way?

I actually machine gunned it all it does it back off and crash though the wall I dont think it dies

you can gun it down yes..thats the way i first killed it on my very first run all those years back.
theres a glitch on the croc sequence if you position it correctly, you can shoot at the screen and it cracks for a while, pretty pointless i know.

gunning it down however is a waste of ammo and time.
and takes a fair bit of ammo.

Haha. You weren't kidding. That really is terribly pointless. I will try it though.

look it up, cuz the first ever time i did it was totally by mistake, then i googled it and found out how to do it properly, but that was so long ago, so i wouldnt be able to do it now without researching.
