Mendez is my favorite boss in RE4, but not for his charming ways - that's for sure.

When I first saw him I thought he was just another character to fill in the game. Hes ok... but hes a real tough boss later on when he transforms.

Ramon Salazar, a small man with a big ego.

I like that Spaniard. He provides good challenges for Leon though the Castle, whether by capturing Ashley, whether by the enemies contaminated with the Las Plagas in it's corridors, like the Novistadores and Colmillos in the maze.

I find it funny when he calls Leon the radio, mocking and trying to destabilise him.

The trap he set up for Leon, when he founds Ashley in the room with Salazar and the Verdugos, was amazing, and if wasn't for the agent's amazing survival skills and the grapeshot, he would be impaled by the stakes in the castle's sewers.
