SOPA 2.0?? Against Child Pornography?

This is going to get passed. If it has something to do with anti-child porn, it is getting passed, regardless of how horrible it is.

Not only the fact it'll pass, but do you know what this means for people who speak up against it? We'll be labled Pro-child porn. It's sick, and makes anybody who's against it look like a pedophile to some extent.

American congress isn't so dumb as to let the wording of a bill throw them off. Let's face it, there's hidden agendas and anecdotes that get used in bills on a daily basis. Seeing through crap like this is what they get paid to do on a daily basis. The only astounding thing is how shameless the members of congress who support these bills are in pushing more of them forward. Normally I'd be cynical with the best of them, but lately I've been trying to look for parts of the system to have faith in. The last two bills like this one (COICA and SOPA) were shot down and I think that this one will as well.

Especially if Ron Paul becomes president. They're struggling to get 1/2 of the vote. The 2/3rds that would be necessary after a presidential veto is just out of the question for these people.

Every attack that is made brings more awareness to the situation.Whether they get it through or people manage to shoot it down, it is only going to make people more alert as to what is going on.Obviously this is more secretive but people will always know and can spread this stuff like wildfire. And if the internet does shut down without our prior knowledge and they start to enforce acts of censorship..people will stand up.I only just heard of ACTA yesterday(international internet bill)of the same thing but could be implemented worldwide.Wow..

Obviously its bull**** propaganda. If you want to solve the problems of child pornography or any other kind of similar violent, disturbing behaviour then you need to investigate the cause of abhorrent and corrupt human behaviour. Then you remove the problem. Our society fails and further causes this by avoiding to examine the root cause of behaviour on every possible level.Laws are the failure of being unable to solve an occuring problem and these days you can always account it due to some artificial social/cultural boundary.

They've tried the front door, back door and windows....

now Skynet is trying the '' Emotional blackmail '' trick.

The news stations will be full of '' if you reject this bill, then you approve of child molestation ''

the same trick was used in Scotland when that Idiot shot up the kids in Dunblane Primary school. Instantly, the media machine started posted stories and headlines that made any cry for continued use of fire arms to protect your house/family, to be from people who approve of shooting kids.

It's utterly pathetic how the media on one hand bang on about honest reporting, but jump into bed with the government at the nearest chance.

This will be the biggest test yet. if 2.0 fails, which i doubt, but if it does, then expect the doors to be kicked down.

When the government have an agenda, freedom is paused.

to us, it's the bill of rights, human rights, blah blah blah, to the government it's simple 9 to 5 administration.

^ lol "Skynet". Theres probably a part of Government similar to the Umbrella Corp. too. :D

It's insane how desperate they are to push this bill... We didn't even get time to rest before they crapped out SOPA 2.0. What a fallen world we live in.

Unfortunately everyone will be too caught up in the name and they will ignore what it will actually do.

edit: Supposedly Obama already signed it.

If America is going to have this much say over the internet. Should'nt the whole world be voting for the next president? (I thought of that during v1.0 of sopa)

You can't track everyone on the 'net. Perhaps they should stick to tracking people who are already a menace to society

Well they passed ACTA in some countries i heard today.US and Poland i'm sure of.Despite 1000's on the streets, government and media labeled the polish protesters 'idiots' then went on to sign the bill.It is just blatently obvious government and the corporations they serve don't have any care for human life and will suppress any form of free information and technology by any means possible. These arseholes are desperate.I'm saving as much content as i can in case it does get ripped up here.

This goes to show us what kind of president he is. He wants to remove our rights. If I go any further, I'll wind up talking about what people call a "conspiracy theory". The New World Order.

All I'm going to say is that you can't bring up most conspiracy theories and the politician's incompetence at the same time.
I think that those idiots are either struggling to do their jobs right or accepting lobbyist money and compromising their neutrality. These people aren't smart enough to plan half the **** they get accused of. Folks who think that Washington was behind 9/11, I'm looking at you. W wasn't smart enough to tie his own shoes let alone devise a plan to destroy the WTC. He didn't need a reason to go to war, he didn't try to declare war. He sent troops into Iraq without congress's consent (which still hasn't been given). The notion that he had any prior knowledge of a terrorist attack is also bologne. Do you know how much money the Bush family had in that place? The man was in idiot. Don't give him more credit than he deserves.
