So... that spam party last night.

Hello everyone,

I apologize for mass porno spam that hit our forum last night. I can guarantee from having to scroll through all the reports that absolutely no boners were had. That was some pretty ****ty stuff...

The new mod controls are considerably less efficient than they were prior to the redesign, and so instead of having just one mass destruct button, I unfortunately had to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt to make sure I caught everything. I do believe I got rid of it all, but if there's something I might have missed, please let me know as soon as possible.

Also, for future reference - particularly for new members, it isn't necessary to respond to the spammers and their threads. Just report them, or wait for a moderator or administrator to remove it.

So once again, I apologize, and hopefully they've exorcized enough of their sexual demons that they won't see a need to do that again for a while. Cheers.

I know who the spammer is: He's this guy from New Zealand who likes to create countless accounts and annoy (mostly) me and others on forums. And lately, I noticed he has been acting like a twit by making fake film production pages on Wikia. Nobody can edit my page on the Acting Wiki unless they're a regular editor now, because he kept spamming and adding fake crap. He ain't that bright...

@La Femme Fatale I'm sorry that you had to deal with all that rubbish. It's possible that a spambot may have exploited a period of time where the forum was being upgraded and perhaps found a temporary way in.

I also was not aware that the mod tools had received a downgrade. Are you still able to use the 'Spam' option on a spammer's profile?

Nah. He's not a bot. I know him from various other forums. He mocks me because I have a 'pervasive development disorder' and says I am getting a free ride, because in the UK, people with autism claim benefits. He also read threads about the hassle I went through with social services in Edinburgh. Since one summer ago, he has harassed me on lots of sites. I wish I knew his real name. Etc...

@Steve The spam button only worked for one of the profiles (probably the most recent one). I had to manually delete the rest of the spam through each users 'find threads/post' page. Also, for reports - previous to the update, if we deleted the spam, the report would resolve itself and we wouldn't have to respond. It is not doing that anymore, so I had to scroll through all the raunchy gifs a few dozen times (for each report) to get to the bottom where I could 'resolve' the report, even though I had already deleted the content.

Didn't mean to sound like grumpy cat - there's only so much scrolling through people eating poo and boinking donkeys I can handle before getting sick to my tummy. :(

This is his ISP if you want to know how to report him. Maybe if enough people reported him to Spark all at once, it may make them finally act on the complaints, because all of my contact with them has fallen on deaf ears. Like I said, Spark must be one hell of an unprofessional service if they allow their customers to commit harassment like this. I'm not sure how many times I've sent them emails. Do they even receive them? They're bound to, yet nobody ever responds. I've did a live chat with staff. It's all just pointless.

https://www.spark.co.nz/help/internet/security/safe-web-use/

222.155.56.18 is the IP address he used on Wikipedia once in late 2017 (because it's becoming harder to find working proxies). I'm sure he slipped up once. If the staff at his ISP were really that bothered, they could trace the owner of the subnet, so they would know who had it at the time I quoted. Sadly, a moderator named "BU Rob13" deleted his contribution when he noticed me bookmarking his page, although I've retained a record of it. His current habits won't reflect what he was doing back then, because I know he has a way to hide his IP address on other sites, but if one were to send a detailed email with links, screenshots and refer to my threads elsewhere, they would know the pattern is the same, since he often uses similar sounding nicknames; Gimpy, limpy, stimpy, and MrsLimpy being aliases he has used on message boards and the Acting Wiki in the recent past.

Unfortunately, I've sent probably a dozen emails to Spark to express how obscene and persistent this pathetic devil is and I've still not gotten anywhere. This is why I suggested a coalition effort form to take his ass down. Then I think his ISP would have to take this matter more seriously. When he did this crap on Love Forum months ago, I told the regular posters there to do it too. Since they didn't assist me in doing so, he kept coming back. It's kind of all on them for not doing enough to put a stop to his hassle.

By the way, I get people giving my videos a thumbs down, because I defended a fellow fan for bashing Capcom and their decisions...

However, I won't block people for having an opinion. The only time I'd consider blocking people is if they got really menacing and gave away my personal info, or said truly derogatory remarks. That qualifies for a block. I'd never just outright block any user for having a different point of view. People can say whatever they want - that's true. As long as they accept that people don't like implied threats.

Similarly, our spammer doesn't like me because I have mild autism. What makes him think that people with autism are getting a free ride and don't work? I know a lot of people on the spectrum who have 9 to 5 jobs, even though they claim benefits, and I actually do film related work. That's nobody's business but mine anyway. People are often way too invested in other strangers' lives too much.

Which forum did you First meet this guy and how did the topic of autism come up? are you sure that he is a stranger from New Zealand not someone you know trolling you under a false identity because I find it hard to believe that a complete stranger from another country would do everything in his power to make your life difficult.

He was on Biohaze (before it revamped). I didn't know he was a previous troll, because then he made out he was a guy with all sorts of problems (like lying about being autistic) and he started uploading pictures of people I met through acting and college work, right after I fell for what he said. After that, he ended up at Love Forum, Wikia and a lot of other forums about autism and gaming. He also kept subscribing to my previous YouTube channels with hidden accounts, and he put my videos on torrent sites. He kept editing my IMDb page too, because I added a filmography on there years ago and he also knew that I had been angry at those running IMDb, for not putting uncredited roles on Sylvester Stallone's page after I gave them evidence that he was in all these movies. Since I've been an extra in movies myself, he is also obsessed with stalking me around sites where I have added my filmography. Like, the Acting Wiki and elsewhere.

On some other forums, I posted personal stories about my issues to do with support workers in Scotland, so he was deliberately trying to say I was acting like a victim, or bashing me in other ways, registering dozens of accounts and putting up dirty pictures. Or saying I was kicking the family dog and assaulting my own mother, because I mentioned somewhere that I lost my cool when I was stressed and had lashed out at her once. But that was years ago.

Now he floats around Wikia, creating fake film production pages under the name of "AGREAM." FANDOM is poorly moderated. He'd never get away with that on Wikipedia.

I once got in trouble for correcting something there.
We're lucky to have such great moderators here.

I would be careful about talking about giving him the sort of platform you have here and at other forums. Part of the reason why we advise people not to respond to spam or trolling is because these people are really looking for a reaction, and when they don't get it, they eventually get bored and move on. If you're constantly talking about them and responding to them, then they really have no reason to stop because you're giving them what they want.

He's a fly, ignore him and he'll go away sooner or later. :)

@tremor - it's so wonderful to see you back, lil' lady!

There's another forum I go to, that is kind of quiet like this one, where he posts like a nutter with the same names, besides adding the fake Wikia stuff. Like, for Pete's sake: DO-SOMETHING-ELSE-WITH-YOUR-TIME-DUDE! Stop stalking me. Stop obsessing over Sylvester Stallone movies that don't even exist. Stop making New Zealand look bad, because New Zealand is a fine country. Stop being a jealous, angry, pitiful butthole. I'm not going to read all this fake BS that he adds on Wikia anyway. Every single day, I was logging in and seeing a column on the right side of my contributions, with new content from him, because it seems like we're the only two users who even still use the Acting Wiki. Like, what the hell?

It kind of annoys me. While I try not to let it get to me when he does this crap, I think there should be legalized murder for turds like him, so nobody has to bother with their God damn garbage anymore. This guy is a cancer. He is eaten away at the core of the Resident Evil community as a whole and that bothers me, because there's NOT a lot of forums like this left to post on. Nobody has been bothering me for years. Granted, it happened a lot from 2003 to 2008 and I was so sick and tired of being around those trolls. This is only a pastime to a lot of us, but no-one wants to see a doofus like him screw everything up for us real fans. Because whether Capcom sees it or not, we're the ones who keep them in business. We're the ones who support them as a company, even though they have lied to people and treated their fans and staff members like dirt, a lot.

I know he's just a pain in the butt in need of psychiatric help, but my hatred of him is justified. I wish there wasn't losers like this on the Internet, anywhere. But there's people like him literally EVERYWHERE you go. I'm so sick of them. They're nothing of consequence. If they have this much time to annoy guys like us, then they have time to do charity work. Community work. YouTube content. Learn a musical instrument. Go for a walk. Buy a cookery book. Feed the ducks at their local park. Quit being a waste of space zealot for once in their pointless lives...

I think he is somebody that I angered on one of the old Resident Evil forums from like over a decade ago. Like, there was reHorror, Evil Unleashed, TotallyRE, The Horror Is Alive, and a few others. Capcom Central was one of them too.

These guys would go 'Sperging Out' like utter mongoloids if you bashed Capcom in any way, shape or form. Like, you weren't supposed to have an opinion, because they acted like elitist fanboys. They didn't like me. They made that clear. I'd rather not delve into the history of what exactly occurred, because it's not worth dredging back up. But these people almost made me hate being online.

If it wasn't for me being such a big fan of the franchise, I'd have quit years ago. I'm still of the opinion that online communities are dying, but there's various reasons why a site dies. Often, trends change, or people simply lose interest as they get older. Even I've lost interest from time to time. It's good to go back and play the old games, but they are old, and so people want something new. Then it's few and far between.
