Robin Hood Personality Test

La Femme Fatale

I found this test here that I thought was kinda trippy, so try it out!

The Sheriff of Nottingham captured Little John and Robin Hood and imprisoned them in his maximum-security dungeon. Maid Marion begged the Sheriff for their release, pleading her love for Robin. The Sheriff agreed to release them only if Maid Marion spent the night with him. To this she agreed.

The next morning the Sheriff released his prisoners. Robin at once demanded that Marion tell him how she persuaded the Sheriff to let them go free. Marion confessed the truth, and was bewildered when Robin abused her, calling her a slut, and saying that he never wanted to see her again.

At this Little John defended her, inviting her to leave Sherwood with him and promising life-long devotion. She accepted and they rode away together.

Now in terms of realistic every-day standards of behaviour, put Robin, Marion, Little John and the Sheriff in the order in which you consider they showed the most morality and honesty. There is no "right" answer, and on the next page is the psychologist's estimate of you for each of the 24 arrangements.

My answer- I think it's pretty accurate.

MARION, LITTLE JOHN, SHERIFF, ROBIN
You are essentially a contented person, even if you consider yourself a little superior. You are moral by your own standards, for you believe that morality is what best suits the occasion.

(Men) You are sexually uninhibited, more romantic than you may appear, and more dependent on the approval of others than you care to admit.

(Women) You like being a woman, you understand what love is, and frankly enjoy sex.

What a nice topic here Femme. A bit scary though, haha. :o

I considered the same answer as you did, but landed on this because I think the sheriff was unusually fair for being a sheriff:

MARION, SHERIFF, LITTLE JOHN, ROBIN
Such an emphatic rejection of ready-made values in probably partly >camouflage. You hate to be thought weak or insecure. You value honesty, and abominate humbug and hypocrisy.

(Men) Women are very much part of you life, and you are - or perhaps would like to be - quite ruthless, both with women and life in general.

(Women) You are tolerant about men and their failings - but we mean men, for you have no time for boys on men's errands.

I had a hard time choosing between Marion and Robin and for this I put them in two orders! xD Also, note that the Sherrif is by far the most immoral according to my standards!

LITTLE JOHN, ROBIN, MARION, SHERIFF
You are a cautious type, neutral, and rather insecure. You would agree with the idea that everybody has his price - and in your own case it would not be high.

(Men)You are sexually inhibited with an underlying distrust of women.

(Women) At least one man has made you unhappy, and you are now on your guard.

LITTLE JOHN, MARION, ROBIN, SHERIFF
You are a fairly broadminded romantic and reasonably contented. You value kindness greatly and try to live by your ideals. You do not conceal from yourself, or from others, your strong need for security, which may be either emotional or material.

(Men) Perhaps you tend to idealise women and credit them with virtues they don't possess.

(Women) Your experiences of men have not all been happy, perhaps because you hope for a little too much?

So-so for me. Both of them are partially true I think. Well, I guess I could use some more information from the story!

I'm only curious; what is it about what Robin did that makes you - at least partially - believe his moral standard is higher than Marion's? There was no question for me that what he did was the most despicable, so I'm just a bit confused how you could put him as second? He had no redeeming qualities, going solely on what we written. I mean, the woman that you love makes a huge personal sacrifice for you, and you respond by calling her a whore?

Apart from Little John, I have quite a few issues with the rest people. Robin is indeed very ungrateful. There's no way that I would have called her a slut. I'd thank her try to return this huge favor and then I would end our relatioship - at least for some time. I know that I said that I'm liberal about sex but it seems I didn't explain myself quite right. I was solely reffering on what two people can do on their beds. Because in fact I'm very monogamic. The ideal scenario for me would be if Marion was discussing it with Robin before doing anything(There are two people in a relatioship) but like I said the story doesn't give enough info for me to take a proper decission.

But that's not my actual problem with Marion. My actual problem with her is her contradictory character. First she's proving her love by making a huge favor to Robin and and when they break up she immediatly runs off with Little John. If I was that much in love with a girl there's no way I would have looked any other girl after our break-up for some time. And I would expect from her to do the same thing. I Just wouldn't go out and pretend nothing happened.

But yeah, it seems that Robin doesn't have any redeeming qualities at all.

To sum it up they both had a -1 sum of pros and cons for me
Robin
Cons: Ungrateful. You don't treat like that the person who has set you free. Especially when she frees you that way.
Pros: -

Marion
Cons: Takes a decission on own her own - a decission that concerns two people (Especially when your partner is monogamic)
Contradicting character. The more you love, the more you hurt when you break up and the more time it takes for your wounds to heal. You don't accept Little John's invitation asap.
Pros: Willing to sacrifise anything for her love.

Anyway, it seems I've put much more thought to that test than it actually needed and that's why it didn't work quite well for me.

I put Marion, Little John, Robin, and Sheriff. I think the result was pretty accurate to. :)

Neat test! Thanks for posting.

The link no work :(

Anyways, so long as i'm not listed as being kevin Costner then am fine... Although i do kinda dig the slow mo firey arrow thing.....

You didn't want to post what the result said? :)

One of the two links in the original post was broken, I took the liberty to fix the url-tag, both works now. Anyways, here's the link to the questions again.

Right... there is too much reading involved in this and not enough zombies being killed so i'm just going to hope that there is a

'' kill em all let god sort em out ''
Option and say i've clicked that one.

maybe i'll come back to this when it's not 3am.

Really, all 4 paragraphs? :p
Forgive me, it's late and i've had a long day..............doing..............pretty much nothing lol.

I'll give it a bash tomorrow. Robin hood is an English knock off of William Wallace anyway... now there is a real dilemma.

Unfortunately you're talking to a girl who has pulled two alnighters in the past six days studying for three exams and finishing off a 40 paged essay. Sadly my sympathy cannot be offered here, but tis alright, I understand. :P

Le femme....My whole life is an alnighter ;)

Well i say new... it's a little old.. it's the one with that Ozzy... Crowe ?

I shoulda said '' latest '' been out a while now.

ps, Hope you kick said exams in the jewels.

The last Robin Hood flick I saw was the one with Kevin Costner and the dreamboat that is young Christian Slater.

And thanks, I hope I kicked said exams in the jewels as well but I have this creeping feeling they kicked me in mine.

Okay. That's normal I suppose - some people have issues with partners who have had sexual relationships with others. But, what if she didn't sleep with the Sheriff willingly - i.e she was raped? How does that kind of fit into this monogamous ideal? I'm not challenging you or anything, I'm just curious.

I dunno, for me this was pretty realistic 'everyday' standards, at least for women. I've definitely had my fair share of rebounds... I think it's pretty normal to try to show the person who hurt you that you're happy without them. It's worked for me. *shrugs*
